Hi, I have seen links to Vorbis ACM codec written by somebody in japan, but the links are dead. Does anybody have this code available? As far as I am aware the ACM idea is dead, which is a real pity. The justification for this was that the ACM interface requires (I think) a fixed packet size. Since vorbis is VBR, this would not work.... but hang on, I thought that vorbis could be given a min bitrate and a max bitrate to work with. Hence, an encoded packed *could* have a fixed bitrate. Personally, I think the idea was dropped simply because no-body could be bothered. Can't help you out with any links, but I may have a copy of the binary. Don't know about the source though! <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Thats a real shame, I have the binary so I dont need that. I have tried the ACM binary and it works very well with an ogg that is encoded with a min and max of the same. Thanks anyway Ceri ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the MessageLabs Email Security System.
