-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, ince I'm currently working on a program that manages all my music files and am working on Ogg Vorbis support right now, I have two questions: 1. Should Tag names (i.e. "ARTIST=") be lower- or uppercase. I've encountered both and right now I automatically uppercase everything I get and then write it to the file that way. 2. What Tag is the tracknumber in? Is it "TRACKNUMBER"? Or something else? Will I encounter something different? Thx. - -- - -M - ------- Magnus von Koeller <magnus@vonkoeller.de> ------ Georg-Westermann-Allee 76 / 38104 Braunschweig / Germany Phone: +49-(0)531/2094886 Mobile: +49-(0)179/4562940 lp1 on fire (One of the more obfuscated kernel messages) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE7p4i8UIvM6e6BgFARAv0lAKCdG6ISXvkI27Bkmj059dVS5R/iUwCgn85B L8kXGQZqrWLIC+ibxgHV5ZA=ffe4 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Right Monty/Jack/etc?> 2. What Tag is the tracknumber in? Is it "TRACKNUMBER"?Yes. Most people probably use this. Cheers, - Tomi ----------------------------------------- Tomi Jylhä-Ollila aka. They are indeed case-insensitive.> 2. What Tag is the tracknumber in? Is it "TRACKNUMBER"? Or something > else? > Will I encounter something different?TRACKNUMBER is the officially recommended tag. There are of course some interpretation issues with hidden tracks and/or multi-disc collections. All this is in the the spec document, btw. http://xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/doc/v-comment.html Hope that helps, -r --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Hi: Tag names are case insensitive. Oggenc put in "Track number' using the command line option to specify it. The standard tags and how they work are all documented on xiph.org/ogg/vorbis/ under documentation (IIRC).
