This question has probably been asked a zillion times, but I'm either too dumb or too lazy to sift through the archives, so I'll ask it here again: Which of the bitrates in RC2 utilize channel coupling and which don't? And when can we expect to choose for ourselves whether we want to use channel coupling at any particular bitrate? The official word is 'soon' but that can mean anything from 1 month to 1 year I guess. What I've been wondering about is why you would want to pick the channel coupling mode yourself. -- GCP --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Hello Michael, 3. september 2001, 10:48:08, you wrote: MLF> Which of the bitrates in RC2 utilize channel coupling and which don't? All stereo (2-channel). Lossy coupling is used for 128kbit and lower, lossless coupling is used at 160kbit and higher.
