Hello. Mr. Miller Dan and Everybody of vorbis-dev. I am the author of Japanese version vorbis.acm. The answer becomes very late and I am sorry about that. vorbis.acm of a latest version was placed, in the following place. And this release includes a source code. This release does not include the document of English. However, that it is included from now on is being evaluated. http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA012897/download/vorbisacm_20020111.zip By the way, Distributing only binary in, vorbis. acm of several version in the past a source code was not included. (Furthermore, it was always distributing it with a source code, before beta4. It is because it complies with a LGPL rule.) There were several reasons about it. It is not able to open it unconditionally, because there is capacity restriction in the site for distribution. It is a time-consuming to delete an unrelated code, because I am diverting other source code. Many users (Many of the users that say here are a software developer.) did not require a source code. Although it is the next topic, I do the disclosure, distribution of a source code gratuitously in conformity with the mind of open source fundamentally. Even that obtains an exchange evaluates, if a user requires support. However, I have not obtained an exchange until the present in fact. <p>Was I able to reply to your question with this, although it is rough? Thanks in advance Masao Kitagawa freddie-fish@nifty.com <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-dev-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. [vorbis-dev] vorbis.acm of a new version was placed
Well, I think I get the drift -- a new ACM with source code! Just what I wanted for Xmas. Thank you Masao-san for your diligent work and attention to the needs of the community. I think you will find that your labors will not go unrewarded.
