I'm a french programmer and i'm very interested in the ogg/vorbis project. But before all, i need a good signal theory tutorial about audio/video. Who has a good set of URLs ? I'm currently analysing the ogg file format, and i could add a 'text streaming' capabilities (a new codec!) and 'jpeg streaming' (one more new codec!, just to create multimedia slide shows). So, is there a good tutorial/explanation about the ogg file format ? The sources are not very well documented (subjective opinion, dont flame!)! If someone has a simple commented .c file with a complete ogg utilisation (sync...), please send it to me. Thanks. -- Arnaud Rolly rolly@free.fr --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-dev-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Are there any experienced documentation writers here? I'd volunteer, but people say my explanations are harder to understand than the source code for most things, so I think I'll abstain. --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-dev-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Erik Kruus had some walkthrough-style docs on the net, but I think he moved his machine and I'm not sure where those are available now. I'm working on understanding and documenting the vorbis algorithms, etc. I might have something to show in a few days. --Mike -- [O]ne of the features of the Internet [...] is that small groups of people can greatly disturb large organizations. --Charles C.
