Syslinux - Nov 2009 - Syslinux set vesa mode

Does Syslinux (and pxelinux, and isolinux, etc) support setting video modes?

Not in the production version.  There is a development branch for that,
the "softres" branch, but it is still pretty raw.

Is there anyway using the config files to call a 16 bit app that could 
set the VESA mode, then change to 32 bit and call our existing process?

That 32bit process is a Multiboot module (using the mboot.c32 thing)
