Syslinux - Jun 2009 - pxelinux not displaying any progress dots

Hello, all.

Since syslinux 3.81 the dots representing the progress of loading kernel and 
initrd disappeared. Is there a way to get this back?

Is it not because you use 'APPEND ... quiet' mode?
I still have the dot using pxelinux.0 without quiet.
