I have just pushed out SYSLINUX 3.70-pre8. The two main differences is that I have updated the gPXE source base, and added a sanboot module (sanboot.c32). sanboot.c32 *should* be capable of initiating an iSCSI or AoE boot, but I haven't actually tested it. The other main difference is that gPXE now advertises HTTP/1.0 instead of HTTP/1.1, since the code was not actually HTTP/1.1 compliant; resulting in corrupted transfers. -hpa
Hi all! I installed SLES10-SP1 with PXE and there is no problem. Now I am testing NetWare 6.5 SP8 beta and I would like to use PXE for the installation. I already installed it once, using the standard way, so I have a response file that I will be able to pass to the install.bat file. There is nothing in NetWare about PXE but it should be possible to use it since it is only a batch file that start the installation. The install.bat file makes reference to C:\ but that is easy to change and make it to reference http://... Is there a way to install NetWare with PXE? Michel-Andr?
Hi hpa! I just read your email about iSCSI: "[syslinux] SYSLINUX 3.70-pre8" It is quite easy to use iSCSI with NetWare. All the installation of NetWare references C:\ as the source media. I guess that if I install iSCSI and map it to C:\ then it should be possible to install NetWare that way. What do you suggest?
