[syslinux] SYSLINUX 3.55-pre5 and 3.60-pre7 - RC status
Hi all, I have just pushed out SYSLINUX 3.55-pre5 and 3.60-pre7. I have decided to give them both release candidate status, with the intent of having a simultaneous 3.55 (bug fixes only) and 3.60 (new functionality) release. Please test them out and let me know how they do. -hpa

I have just tested 3.55-pre4 and 3.60-pre7 both in QEMU and real hardware. Both functions as expected in qemu but in the real hardware here are the results: 3.60-pre7 memdisk: the system freezes after the messages: Loading memdisk..... Loading win98.img.............................ready. The same happens when loading a linux kernel: Loading vmlinuz................. Loading initrd.gz........................................ready. and freezes there. 3.55-pre4 passes both tests. Genaldo

As I wrote before, under isolinux, we have the following problems: The system freezes when trying to load a linux kernel or memdisk. It also freezes when chain loading another operating system, but when the "kernel" is memtest it works perfectly. I must also say that when loading memdisk it prints: .... INT 13:08: Success, count = 0, BPT = 0000:0000 old: int13 = f000eed2 int15 = f000f859 new: int13 = 9f00000a int15 = 9f00037c Loading boot sector... booting... and freezes there. That all happens when trying to boot the isolinux CD in a real machine. It passes all tests when running under QEMU though. Genaldo
