Well, I hate to say it, but, you can't really do anything from
Syslinux about this. Anything related to speeds and such would be
handled by the BIOS in this case I'm pretty sure. Thing is, since the
BIOS tends to be treating things in more of a "compatibility mode"
style, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it actually does not support
USB 2.0 speeds. It probably does limit to 1.x since it's easier to
just run 1.x on everything than to try to detect if a device is 2.0 or
1.x and actually add support for the 2.0 standard.
I say pester the BIOS manufacturers if you want faster speeds. But,
while you're at it, can you put in a good word about them for once
actually following actual standards? d-: I'm getting so sick of all
these systems that don't work right because BIOS manufacturers have no
quality control...
