[syslinux] How to Create an ISOLinux Bootable CD Question
Peter, First, I'm not a programmer and I don't have Linux. The reason I am emailing you is that I spend the two weeks looking over your site and other trying to figure out " HOW to create an ISOLinux image or convert my existing ISO image to and ISOLinux image. I have some software called" Flashboot" that can take and ISOLinux image and can create a bootable Flash drive of the CD ISO image. In order for me to make this work,.... Flashboot states I require a ISOLinux image. Can you please explain what files I require? Also can I create this image on my windows XP laptop, or do I require an Linux PC in order to create this ISOLinux image? I've downloaded some of your files but I don't understand how to setup the config file and/or what files I require. The syslinux.doc files doesn't tell me what I need, its an exact copy of your website. I am trying to convert my PowerQuest Drive Image 7 licensed CD software into a bootable Flash Drive. This CD disk boots WinPE and runs the Powerquest Drive Image software. This would speed up my hard drive image restores. Please reply. Thanks. [syslinux] Re: How to Create an ISOLinux Bootable CD Question
Looking at a screenshot on his website, you would want to choose the BartPE option since BartPE/WinPE/PowerQuest Drive Image 7 all have the same underlying structure and boot in the same fashion. You shouldn't have to do anything with ISOLinux.
