Hi all; I downloaded the centos 4.3 image onto my linux box and used k3b to burn a DVD iso image. It seemed to work fine. I have an SuSE laptop and I want to setup a CentOS VM via Vmware 5.5 If I insert the dvd and boot the new vm I get 'no operating system found' It seems to be a non-bootable dvd. Hello, I have to update the BIOS of several hundreds of geographically distributed PCs. Since we are using PXELINUX for years to install the OS (Linux) on this PCs PXELINUX is my first choice for doing this job. The vendor of this PCs provides a bootable ISO image for the update. Because of the size of the firmware it is not possible to use a FD image (not even 2.88MB). But in the documentation of PXELINUX there's a hint that bootable hd images are also supported by PXELINUX. If I burn a CD from this new ISO image I can boot from it and get the modified menu as expected. However, if I use dd to copy this ISO image to a USB stick, It?s not bootable.
