[Swfdec] [Bug 15873] New: Close button
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15873 Summary: Close button Product: swfdec Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: plugin AssignedTo: swfdec at lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: uzytkownik2 at gmail.com QAContact: swfdec at lists.freedesktop.org On many pages there are flash ads - usually centered. We all love them ;) The close buttons are, intentionaly or not, often broken. Is it possible to add to a right-click-menu[1] an option 'close', which would just close this window? [1] This one with 'play' -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug. And Swfdec is not an ad-blocker, but a Flash player. I guess this bug should be filed with Adblock? -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug. http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15873 --- Comment #3 from Rafa? Mi?ecki <zajec5 at gmail.com> 2008-05-08 15:18:16 PST --- I was told that browser can not manage RMB menu and that this menu is 100% controlled by plugin. Moreover I think this request is not only about ads. Sometimes user may want to close animation which is just some unnecessary part of page earing (annoying/CPU-eating/sound-making). -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug. http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15873 --- Comment #4 from Benjamin Otte <otte at gnome.org> 2008-05-08 15:23:51 PST --- Indeed, but the RMB menu being controlled by the Flash player is a browser bug, too ;) And removing parts of the content of a webpage is definitely a browser problem, not a Flash problem. We can talk about this when movie players start showing ads... -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
