Package 'R2HTML'
I recently learnt how to use Sweave which is a wonderful tool After which i also tried to use R2HTML as it would allow many of my colleagues who dont use latex to be able to use and edit my work. I was unable to make it work and couldnt find a way to implement it. I got some errors. I wonder if you could help me with it i have a windows 2000 OS and the version of R is "R version 1.9.1,

RweaveHTML (R2HTML) Help
I have found Sweave() to be great for producing PDF documents. I have been experimenting with RweaveHTML (from the R2HTML) package and have had moderate success. My main issue has been that I simply want the R output to be shown verbatim in the HTML document but RweaveHTML tends to convert most output to a table, for example. So, is there a way to force the RweaveHTML driver to simply provide

sweave xtable and driver RweaveHTML
Hi, So far I used Sweave to create pdf reports. I used xtable to create some tables in the report. But now I would like to use the same snw file to generate an HTML version. The xtable output breaks the RweaveHTML driver. library(R2HTML) Sweave('analyseLFQ.Snw', driver = RweaveHTML) Error in match.arg(options$results, c("Robj", "html", "hide")) :

Sweave: Setting options with SweaveOpts{} when using driver=RweaveHTML
When using Sweave in connection with the driver RweaveLatex(), global options can be set with \SweaveOpts{}, e.g. \SweaveOpts{keep.source=T}. Does anybody know if it is possible to set global options in the same way when using Sweave with the driver RweaveHTML(). Regards Søren [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

Apparent conflict between \Sexpr in Sweave and R2HTML
I have come across an apparent bug in the operation of Sweave. If I load the package R2HTML then execution of \Sexpr{} in an *.Rnw file no longer works. The \Sexpr{} code is simply written to the *.tex file. Below are my *.Rnw file, commands, and output. The Sweave file, Sweave-test-1_short.Rnw: % -*- mode: noweb; noweb-default-code-mode: R-mode; -*- \documentclass{article} \title{A Test

how to use \Sexpr{} with sweave
I'm trying to learn Sweave. So far things are going well with the chunks of code identified by << >>= But I'm having trouble with the in-line text use of \Sexpr. Here is a short example .Rnw file: \documentclass[12pt]{article} \usepackage[margin=1.25in]{geometry} \usepackage{graphicx} \usepackage{Sweave} \begin{document} <<test>>= pnorm(1) @ \Sexpr{2+6}

Sweave/ESS-like tools for HTML
My university provides me with a powerful course management system for the courses that I teach. Among other things I can create a wiki for the course, which is very convenient for cross-linking different bits of the course. Naturally I use R extensively in my teaching and I want to incorporate R code, output and graphics in such a wiki. If I were producing LaTeX sources instead of HTML sources

Does anyone use Sweave (RweaveLatex) option "expand=FALSE"?
I am trying to improve the error reporting in Sweave documents, so that if you have a syntax error in a code chunk, it will tell you which line of your input file contained the error. For example, currently you get this: Error: chunk 1 (label=named) Error in parse(text = chunk) : unexpected symbol in "x <- foo bar" Execution halted and I'd like errors to be more like this:

Sexpr not getting expanded in Sweave
An Sweave file, 'test.Rnw': \documentclass{article} \title{Sweave minimal} \author{MK} \begin{document} \maketitle We try Sweave: <<1>>= data(airquality) summary(airquality) x <- airquality[1, 1] @ I try Sexpr: \Sexpr{x} We plot: \begin{center} <<2, fig=TRUE, echo=FALSE >>= boxplot(Ozone ~ Month, data = airquality) @ \end{center} \end{document} I check the

packages with Sweave and knitr vignettes?
Now that R 3.0.0+ supports non-Sweave vignettes, R-exts \S 1.4.2 seems to imply that it is possible to include both Sweave and knitr vignettes in a single package. I'm wondering if anyone has tried this and/or if there are some hidden gotchas putting this into practice, and concerned about creating problems with CRAN checks if I try this. Consider two vignettes: pkg/vignettes/vign1.Rnw,

Sweave and uttf-8 under Windows XP
Hi list, I need to process a Rnw file and and a csv file (both are encoded in UTF-8) under Windows XP (R Version 2.11.0, i386, mingw32). I can source and run the Rnw file: > Stangle("Bericht.Rnw") Writing to file Bericht.R > source(file("Bericht.R", encoding="UTF-8")) which runs fine, but running Sweave() failed: > Sweave("Bericht.Rnw")

Sweave, Texshop, and sync with included Rnw file
Hello everyone. I am in the process of writing a book in Latex with Texshop, on Mac. This book contains a lot of R code, hence the need to use Sweave. I was able to compile Rnw files, and to sync back and forth from the pdf to the source Rnw. My problem now is that the book is divided in Chapters, and every chapter is in its own Rnw file. I can compile them from the main one (book.Rnw) using the

\include-mechanism in Sweave?
Dear HelpeRs, I'm very fond of Sweave and I use it as often as possible. It'a a pity I can't use it for larger projects or can I? For instance suppose I have three files file1.rnw, file2.rnw and file3.rnw with Sweave code. Working on file2.rnw I whould like to exclude file1.rnw and file3.rnw temporarily and joining all of them later. This amounts to a mechanism similar to using

Sweave and absolute escaped backslashed Windows paths in R 2.12.0
I've noticed a change in behavior in R 2.12.0 from 2.11.1 regarding the treatment of absolute paths in the file argument of Sweave in a Windows environment. Consider the minimal Rnw file, attached and reproduced below my signature in case .Rnw files get stripped. This file is stored on my (Windows) computer in H:/My Documents. Using an absolute path with the standard window's

Setting up Xemacs + Sweave
Dear list, I have tried to setup my Xemacs for use with Sweave, which I indend to learn. I have followed the instructions in the Sweave FAQ, that is to say, I put (defun Rnw-mode () (require 'ess-noweb) (noweb-mode) (if (fboundp 'R-mode) (setq noweb-default-code-mode 'R-mode))) (add-to-list 'auto-mode-alist '("\\.Rnw\\'" . Rnw-mode)) (add-to-list

Sweave in makefile under Win XP
Hi all. To automate the production of a document I want to have something like: test.tex : test.Rnw "Sweave("test.Rnw") "| R --no-restore --no-save in a makefile. This however gives an error as R states: Sweave("test.Rnw") : not found. I use R-1.9.0pat (040424 I think) on Win XP. Any suggestions, hints or plain help appreciated. Steen Ladelund

Sweave : change value in rnw file to generate multiple "single" reports ?
Hello, I'm still trying to make the life of my colleagues easier. Nice, isn't it ? At the moment, I'm looking for a way to generate multiple "single report". In fact I have a .rnw file which send a query to a MySQL database (rs<-dbSendQuery(con, statement="select * from treatdata where name='Device1'") But of course my colleagues have many devices and

R CMD Sweave versus Sweave() on Windows
Dear list subscriber, I am quite puzzled by the behaviour of processing Sweave files within an R session, i.e. Sweave("foo.Rnw") versus R CMD Sweave foo.Rnw In the former the environmental variable 'SWEAVE_STYLEPATH_DEFAULT = TRUE' is obeyed (this is set in etc/Renviron.site as well as under the users home directory in .Renviron). That is the hard-coded path to Sweave.sty is

How to turn a LaTeX Sweave file (Rnw) into .HTML/.odf/.docx? (under windows)
Hello dear R help members, I have found several references on how to do this, my question is if anyone is actually using them - and if there are some strong points on what to use, and how well it is working out. My goal is to be able to easily create docs from R, but to be able to share it with other researchers (who do not use LaTeX) so they could easily copy/paste the tables and edit them for
