working with CGIwithR
<headline>Short question</headline>:
Do people have advice on debugging R programs running after CGIwithR
inputting of data from forms? Is there a way of setting up fast
local versions if your local machine has to be a windoze (2k) machine
(R 2.1.0) and your server is a Debian, ssh shell only set up running
R 1.8.0? Are there simple guides to ways of not having to invoke R

controlling the x axis of boxplots
v 2.0.1 (sooooh old!) on Win2k
I think I know the answer to this but I can hope ...
I have data for continuous variables (measures of residents) by a
categorical variable in range (1,22), the units in which they live.
I want to plot these data with a pair of boxplots one above another
with same x-axis (1,22) using par(mfrow=c(2,1)) and then plotting
first for the women then for the men.

AFT model
Hi,
In the package survival, using the function survreg for AFT model, I
only see 4 distributions for the response y: weibull, gaussian,
logistic, lognormal and log-logistic, which correspond to certain
distributions for the error terms. I'm wondering if there is a package
or how to obtain the parameter estimates (the beta's are of great
interest) from the AFT model (maximizing

Power of a single sample binomial test
The only references to this I can find searching the archives are to a
student who asked in relation to his course work on a stats course.
Promise I'm not doing that!
I have a situation in which we want to test proportions against an
expected proportion, binom.test() is great. I'd like to do some post
hoc power tests (the x and n were beyond our control in the survey as
all we could set

aftreg vs survreg loglogistic aft model (different intercept term)
Hi, I'm estimating a loglogistic aft (accelerated failure time) model, just a
simple plain vanilla one (without time dependent covariates), I'm comparing
the results that I obtain between aftreg (eha package) and survreg(surv
package). If I don't use any covariate the results are identical , if I add
covariates all the coefficients are the same until a precision of 10^4 or
10^-5 except

AFT-model with time-dependent covariates
Dear R-community,
Dear Prof. Therneau,
I would like to fit an AFT-model with time-dependent covariates and right-censored data.
Searching the mailing list for information on the subject, I found some old posts which said it didn't work back then.
My questions:
(1) Has this kind of fitting already been implemented in the survival library in R?
(2) If not: Are there any alternatives/

Calculate survival function for AFT model
I have fit an accelerated failure time model using coxph, and have what seems
to be a simple question that I can't figure out.
Given a vector of predictor values X, the survival time S[t|X] is the
probability the entity will survive longer than some time t. Now, how do I
calculate this for a specific value of t?

lme4: Error in getResponseFormula(form) : "Form" must be a two sided formula
I'm sure I'm being stupid so flame away...
R2.2.1 on Windoze (boohoo) latest updates of packages.
I'm exploring a dataset (land) with three variables looking at an
narrowly unbalanced two group (GROUP) ANCOVA of a randomised
controlled trial analysing endpoint score (SFQ.LOCF.ENDPOINT) entering
the baseline score (SFQ.BASELINE) as covariate and the following work

Rcgi
I am keen to look at Rcgi as I want to put up some simple bits of R
to do prescribed tasks on HTML form input. Rweb is overkill and
worryingly flexible for what I want and it sounds as if Rcgi is more
what I need. However, I can't get any of the URLs I've found for it
to work over the last few days.
Does anyone have a recent copy they could Email me or a working URL
for it?
TIA,

AFT-model with time-varying covariates and left-truncation
Dear Prof. Brostr?m,
Dear R-mailinglist,
first of all thanks a lot for your great effort to incorporate
time-varying covariates into aftreg. It works like a charm so far
and I'll update you with detailled benchmarks as soon as I have them.
I have one more questions regarding Accelerated Failure Time models
(with aftreg):
You mention that left truncation in combination with time-varying

Configuring chan_dahdi.conf for Sangoma A200/Remora FXO/FXS Analog AFT card
Hi I have been having a rough time getting a Sangoma A200/Remora FXO/
FXS Analog AFT card set up properly.
The main issue is that the card has four ports and as far as I can
tell Asterisk is only seeing two. On the two that it recognizes the
"Green" FXS ports are not green, they just are not lit. The "RED" FXO
ports are indeed red, but from what I have read your not

Seeking friend for life (not)
I'll take a risk following Uwe's wonderful response to that advert.
I'm looking for someone, perhaps particularly a stats student, who
might want to do a piece of work with me on using R to present and
analyse routine data that psychotherapists might submit on a cgi-bin
interface and perhaps cross-referencing that against some largish
referential data to which I have access.

How to plot both lines and points by group on ggplot2
Thank you that is exactly it!
The problem was to connect each point of the series 'Conc' with a line.
Best regards

problems with sysvol aft
Hi,
I plan to upgrade/replace my somewhat crippled and outdated samba 4.7.4
domain controller. The OS is an openSUSE-Leap-42.3 which had no packages
for a samba-ad-dc. These packages have been introduced in successor
openSUSE releases starting with Leap-15.0. Leap-15.0 comes with samba
4.7.11. So I set up a new Leap-15.0 host and joint it as a dc
controller. I set up the sysvol replication

boxplot notch
That's not really a reprex Sibylle.? I did try to use it to see if I
could work out what you were trying to do and help but there is so much
in there that I suspect is distraction from the notch issue and its
error message.
Please can you give us something stripped of all unecessary things and
tell us what you want?

Utility data uploading functions prior to analysing data using CGIwithR

I am developing a small suite of cgi-bin programs on my server that help
provide some things that statistical/psychometric beginners may find
helpful and which are aren't widely available. Some early e.g.s are:

and I'll be adding more to http://www.psyctc.org/stats/ and some that
