MS Paint with wine?
Hi all, I'm relatively new to Ubuntu and I will most likely install WINE on my next desktop for gaming. However my present puter is an Acer netbook and I would like to run MS Paint on it. I know you will tell me there are a lot of other Ubuntu apps that can do the job but I want MS Paint and it would be nice if I didn't have to log in and out of OS's just to access MS Paint from time

freedesktop.org logo fix
Hi. While novell.png was changed to freedesktop.org almost everywhere, the former logo was left in plugins/compiz.schemas.in. I've attached a patch that fixes this. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... [fdo] Accessibility list at Freedesktop.org
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi! I have been in discussion with several other accessibility projects to work on a common API for speech synthesis and speech recognition drivers. I suggested to discuss this on a mailing list and to found a new list at freedesktop.org for this purpose. Since there are also a number of other accessibility related areas where cooperation is

Let's say I'd like to create a directory for urgent stuff I need to deal with. I'd put this line on ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs: XDGURGENTDIR=?\$HOME/Urgent? Right? But now, how do I assign a custom icon to it? I know I can just change the icon for any folder or file under properties, but that's not what I want! I'd like to do it "the right way". Using gnome, by

Are the instructions on freedesktop.org still OK?
I've been following the nouveau git, but it seems now that when I follow the instructions on it [1], I end up with a kernel v3.12 rather than 3.16rc7 (though that is a branch in my repo). I guess I don't yet grok how git works with remote masters. I want to update to the latest Linus git kernel + latest nouveau. Is it really just `git remote update` followed by `git reset --hard
