Configuring samba server and Win95 client
Hi,
I think this is a very simple situation but I need help in this matter asap.
I have a linux m/c running samba-2.0.2. This is on a n/w controlled by a Win
NT PDS. But I don't want Win NT to do the login authentication. So i've
configured samba to act as a file server doing the login checking but i've
not included it in the NT domain. Is this correct? And if so how do I
configure my

samba & win nt
Hi
I have samba 2.0.2-1 running on a linux box having kernel 2.0.36. I have an
NT 4 sp3 having a domain name RNDENT. I have included the linux box into the
NT domain. I also have the smbpasswd file and cerated samba users. Samba is
configured in such a way that even if NT is down samba takes over as the PDC
and authenticates users. If NT is up, the server manager in NT shows the
linux box as

Buffering time for netstreams
Hi!
In the new Windows Media 9, and also Real 9 I think,
there are these new features that is supposed to make
buffering of netstreams nearly unnoticed.
Will that be the case for Theora as well?
Does such a feature depend on the OGG container, or
the codec design?
Or even depend on the server software maybe?

Owner and permissions problems when syncing w2k<->w2k
Hi!
I'm having a bit of a problem setting up an rsync
operation between two Windows 2000 servers. On one of
the machines I have started an rsync Daemon (service,
started as administrator) using the lines below.
On the other machine I do a
rsync -Pzrtvpo /cygdrive/d/root/Folder
administrator@192.168.2.4::root
What happens is that all transferred files (no problem
with the actual transfer)

Sort matrix by column 1 ascending then by column 2 decending
I've got a matrix with 2 columns and n rows. I need to sort it first
by the values in column 1 ascending. Then for values which are the
same in column 1, sort by column 2 decending. For example:
2 .5
1 .3
1 .5
3 .2
Goes to:
1 .5
1 .3
2 .5
3 .2
This is easy to do in spreadsheet programs but I can't seem to work
out how to do it in R and haven't been able to find a solution
anywhere.

Problems with * and Grandstream Budgetone 100
I have two problems with Asterisk and my Budgetone 100s.
1. Sometimes when outside callers dial my Budgetone it will ring twice, then
the caller will receive a busy signal. This happens intermittently and I
cannot pin down the circumstances of when it works and when it doesn't.
Asterisk logging doesn't give me too much info when this happens:

Help required for rpart package

I am trying to model credit risk data using decision trees. Since the
number of defaulters is less compared to non-defaulters (defaulters around
10%), we have the class imbalance problem. Consequently, the confusion
matrix shows that the number of misclassified non-defaulters is large.
Classifying a defaulter as non-defaulter is more expensive. How does one
include this information

I have two host machines both installed with libvirt and virt-manager,
which provides me with GUI. I have virtual machines running in one of the
host.
