I have samba 2.0.2-1 running on a linux box having kernel 2.0.36. I have an
NT 4 sp3 having a domain name RNDENT. I have included the linux box into the
NT domain. I also have the smbpasswd file and cerated samba users. Samba is
configured in such a way that even if NT is down samba takes over as the PDC
and authenticates users. If NT is up, the server manager in NT shows the
linux box as PRIMARY and NT as a workstation.
Problem:
Only 95 clients are able to logon. When an NT client logs in an error "No
domain controller is available on domain RNDENT" is given. Also the info in
the server manager is sometimes given. At other times an error "No tag
available" is given.
Any soln to this problem ASAP will be great. With this samba version can it
be made to reliably act as the PDC?
