Cochrane-Orcutt method
Hello,
Is there a package that implements the Cochrane-Orcutt itterative
procedure for dealing with autocorrelation in a regression model?
Thanks,
John.

Package ‘orcutt’ bug?
Hello~

Did any one have used the package 'orcutt' ?

I find that it can not work smoothly in a single variable regression. I use the example following, it function very well.

But when I regress "cons" on "price" (use the "reg1<-lm(cons~price+income+temp)") , then  use "reg11<-cochrane.orcutt(reg1)
". There is an error message “Error in

Correction for first order autocorrelation in OLS residuals
Hi there fellow R-users,
Can anyone tell me if there exits an R package that deals with serial
correlation in the residuals of an lm model.
Perhaps, using the Cochrane Orcutt or Praise Wilson methods?
Thanks,

Problem with Stationary Bootstrap
Dear R experts,

I'm running the following stationary bootstrap programming to find the parameters estimate of a linear model:

X<-runif(10,0,10)
Y<-2+3*X
a<-data.frame(X,Y)
coef<-function(fit){
  fit <- lm(Y~X,data=a)
   return(coef(fit))
}
 result<- tsboot(a,statistic=coef(fit),R = 10,n.sim = NROW(a),sim = "geom",orig.t = TRUE)

Unfortunately, I got this

Quick question on Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel test
Dear List,
I am looking for what B.S.Everitt refers to as Cochrane Method for testing
independence in combined 2x2 contingency tables. Is it the same method as
the Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel Chi-Squared Test for Count Data in R?
Thanks,

questions about meta-analysis
Dear R users:
In the example of meta-analysis (cochrane, package rmeta), I can not found the p-value of Test for overall effect, and some other indices (Z, I, weight and et al). How can I get the these indices listed?

Regarding Modeling - Please! QUICK HELP
I'm a student currently working with the *sleepstudy* dataset in
matrix.pkg. It deals with the reaction times of sleep deprived students
over a period of days.
I am trying to model reaction times in order to describe the variation
between students by days they havent slept.
This is what I'm running in R, but unfortunately I'm missing something:

Printers Always Paused - A Solution
I had a problem with Samba 2.2.5 with the printers being
permanantly paused to Windows machines. They could print OK - it
was only the status that was wrong.
The reason for this was because I had used the word office in the
printer name / comment. This was causing the parser which
recognises the printer status to find 'off' pausing the printer.
A quick fix for this is to replace the

XP clients & inexplicable pauses
Hi folks,
I recently upgraded two client/server pairs to WinXP and Samba 2.2.6
(on Linux).
Browsing mounted shares causes hangs when right-clicking or double-clicking/
launching files -- about 15 seconds. During this, precious little network
activity is occuring. Something is hanging, locking, sleeping.
Appreciate any advice. Hope it's a simple fix. If not, I'd appreciate

Appearance of Forest Plot
Hi All,
I have conducted a meta analysis using the metabin function. I want to plot
5 subgroups on the same forest plot. I have managed to do this using the
byvar argument but when i plot the forest plot in R graphics I am unable to
view the very top and very bottom of the image. It is as though the plot is
too long. Is there a way in which I can ask R to show the entire plot within

Removing autocorrelations
Could anyone tell me whether there is an R function for removing
autocorrelations from a series of observations before performing a linear

Many thanks,

combined value in forestplot function
Hi,
How is the combined value (displayed by a diamond on the forest plot) of a meta-analysis illustrated by a forest plot calculated? The applied method and all calculation details are welcome.
Thanks

Package: xen
Version: 4.1.2-3
Severity: wishlist
Hi,
we're patching libvirt (incompletely atm) and also virtinst to cope with
Debian's derivation from upstream to put things into
/usr/lib/xen-<version> managed via alternatives to /usr/lib/xen-default.
While the basic idea is great to be able to switch between different xen
versions it would us get closer to upstream if we had a

Borland Paradox Databases on a samba share

On a novell server it works fine. But on the samba share I get a

Small linux print server
This is a bit off topic, however it's related to a samba based network...
I've got a small network (10 users) running samba on a Linux box with a HP
network printer. This is working so well, that the only network problems
that I have are with printers other printers "shared" by Win 95. Therefore:
I was planning to turn an old 486 with an 80M HDD into a print server,
