how to use \Sexpr{} with sweave
I'm trying to learn Sweave. So far things are going well with the chunks of code identified by << >>= But I'm having trouble with the in-line text use of \Sexpr. Here is a short example .Rnw file: \documentclass[12pt]{article} \usepackage[margin=1.25in]{geometry} \usepackage{graphicx} \usepackage{Sweave} \begin{document} <<test>>= pnorm(1) @ \Sexpr{2+6}

odfWeave examples not working
Hi, I'm currently taking a look at possibilities to report my results, produced by R. After looking at LaTex, I'm now considering the odf format, as most people at my company work with MS Word. So using odfWeave would be my best bet probably. But if I run some examples from the odfWeave package, I cant open the output in Open Office: demoFile <- system.file("examples",

Apparent conflict between \Sexpr in Sweave and R2HTML
I have come across an apparent bug in the operation of Sweave. If I load the package R2HTML then execution of \Sexpr{} in an *.Rnw file no longer works. The \Sexpr{} code is simply written to the *.tex file. Below are my *.Rnw file, commands, and output. The Sweave file, Sweave-test-1_short.Rnw: % -*- mode: noweb; noweb-default-code-mode: R-mode; -*- \documentclass{article} \title{A Test

\Sexpr{}
Did anyone know whether the problem " it doesn't evaluate \Sexpr{} in Sweave" has been fixed? I checked r help page and realized it was asked a couple of years ago. But I didn't find solutions. Thanks for your help in advance! Hua [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

odfWeave/XML Windows issue
I am getting the following error when using odfWeave Error in xmlEventParse(infile, handlers = handlers, trim = FALSE, state = state) : File content_1.xml does not exist This appears to be the same issue detailed in http://markmail.org/message/qsrqdtozizlngbrt#query:+page:1+mid:qsrqdtozizlngbrt+state:results however the link to XML_1.93-2.3.zip appears to be dead. issue with odfWeave running on Windows XP; question about installing packages under Linux
Good morning R community, I have two questions (and a comment): 1) A problem with odfWeave. I have an odf document with a table that spans multiple pages. Each cell in the table is populated using \sexpr{<R stuff>}. This worked fine on my own machine (windows 7 box using any R2.x.y, for x>=11) and on a colleagues machine (Windows XP box running R2.11.1). However, on a third machine

odfWeave produces output file that OO can't open
Dear R-helpers, I'm trying to learn how to use odfSweave. Here is my source file (in /Users/mk/myTeach/2010-1-7720/odfWeave): **************************************** Analysis of the iris Data Created on \Sexpr{date()} <<loadLibs, echo = FALSE, results = hide>>= # I usually load the libraries first so that any output produced by loading the library does not end up in the

OdfWeave and Locale
Dear all, I have a question regarding the odfweave. I created an odt file (test_input.odt) using OO.o for WIndows XP. The code is generic. ---- Code for odt ----------- \Sexpr{dim(iris)[1]} <<listofSpecies, echo=FALSE, results=xml>>= odfItemize(levels(iris$Species)) @ Table 1: <<Table, echo=FALSE, results=xml>>= data.frame(N =tapply(iris$Petal.Length, iris$Species,

Baffled: triggering error message with an sd result in odfWeave?
I hope someone can point out my stupid error, because I'm baffled. I am calculating a bunch of variable values and then placing them in a document using odfWeave tags. This is working very nicely for every spot except one. One of the values I calculate is traindev: traindev <- if (trainlength>0) round(sd(trainscores, na.rm=T),1) else "" when I try to insert this traindev

odfWeave repeats output
Hello all- I'm having a problem with odfWeave. I'm still testing it out, and have used both of these code chunks, which I copied off a blog: Number 1: A sample document last processed \Sexpr{Sys.time()}. This simply illustrates the output from an R command inserted into our document. This is using \Sexpr{version$version.string}. Number 2: <<Sample1>>= summary(iris) @

odfWeave: odt-file damaged
Dear all, I am doing my first steps with odfWeave. After running the r code (see below), I am trying to open the ODF-document with open office, but I am getting the error message: "The file is damaged, but it can be repaired". If I confirm the question and repair the file with open office, I can open it with the desired output, which seems to be fine. My system: R Version 2.9.1

odfWeave UTF-8 error and latin characters
Hello R masters, I have sent this same message to other lists and none so far could give some light. I was trying to use odfWeave to generate a report from R and Im getting an error that I think is related to latin characters. I looked around and did find some stuff related to this problem about Sweave http://labmoluscos.wordpress.com/2010/02/18/sweave-latex-character-encoding/ but did not find a

odfWeave error
odfWeave is throwing up a cryptic error, after successfully processing a file with a large number of figures (~30) and many \Sexpr{} calls. The error is (at least to me) cryptic. I am not sure where to look to correct this problem. Here's the error: Post-processing the contents Error in .Call("RS_XML_Parse", file, handlers, endElementHandlers, as.logical(addContext), :
