Starcraft running sluggishly?
Well, on a system with a Pentium III 550mhz, 256mbs of RAM, and a NVidia RIVA TNT2 M64 videocard, Starcraft runs into serious problems; bogs down quite a bit at the slightest touch. Oddly enough, the cutscenes run fine, though, and on the Win98 partition on the same system, it runs just about perfectly. So, I'm wondering: What's a recommended system for running Starcraft using Wine, and,

KVM on CentOS 7 - sluggish performance with Win10 Guest
Hey all,  I've been running a Win10 Pro (64bit) guest for some time now.... and originally it was pretty snappy and I had no complaints. Somewhere in about the last 3-6 months I've been noticing sluggish performance -- but not overall. The system is mostly remote so I do a lot of my admin via RDP or the local console with the KVM Manager. I recently did a complete fresh install of

sluggish behavior
Greetings, This is my first stab at this mailing list. Forgive me if I am over/under verbose. We have been running KVM for a while now and love it. Recently I have noticed a weird anomaly that is getting on my nerves. When I clone (GUI or virt-clone from CLI) both* virt-manager* and *virsh* enquiries get extremely sluggish. Using top I cannot see any resource issues. No I/O wait, the load

sluggish stream problem - help
Hi Reuben, I think I remember having the same issue when I first used icecast. I think from the best of my memory I swapped from using shout to IceS and this solved the issue. I could be wrong though my memory isn't too good and you may actually be experiencing something totally different than me, however I would say with your bandwidth a 128 stream shouldn't be a problem. Hope this is

sluggish stream problem - help
Hi, I am a newbie here. I just tried to set up mp3 streamer server on Redhat Linux 7.2, using icecast and shout. I then tried to connect to the server, from another machine and different LAN, using xmms. And the stream is so sluggish, it gets cuts off for every 2 seconds or so. Both LANs (the server and where I am connected from) are T1. My mp3 was all encoded in 128 KBps. I then asked someone

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] RFC: A Great Renaming of Things (or: Let's Repaint ALL the Bikesheds!)
Hi there. What about repainting the top-level bike-shed - the build system itself? I've got a framework called "v3c" in SourceForge that has a top-level makefile. From that makefile you can just do "make" to build it with debug information, "make release" for a release build, "make -j7 distcheck" to throw a few cores at the build, "make -j7 git

FW: Polycom 501 issue with latest firmware : sluggish keys
Somebody was helpful enough to give me the very latest release of Polycom's firmware (2.1.0). Unfortunately, I still get that issue. So I'm stuck asking again: Anybody ever got that? scriptaculous: Drag/Drop Sluggish Animation (release animation time should be proportional to remaining distance)
Thomas suggested posting these here so they don''t get lost. Making Scriptaculous Snappy: *) Drag/Drop - make release cost proportional to remaining distance For drag/drop - change the ''release'' animation time to be proportional to the remaining distance the dropped item has to travel. If a user drags the item almost all the way to the final location, the release time

Sluggish Samba
Hi, I took the plunge and installed the latest version of OpenBSD 3.6 and SAMBA 3.0.11 (this because I found a patch for the OBSD ports tree). So I now have all that up and running. Both my XP box and my Audiotron can get to the SAMBA shares. I did this upgrade because the problem I'm about to describe is exactly the same as before I upgraded from 3.4 OBSD, 2.x Samba. I know others

Sluggish samba...no change
Thanks to those who responded to my previous post. I have tried all suggestions and found no change. A quick review: Samba 3.0.11, OpenBSD 3.6, hub connected net, no routers or firewalls involved. An Audiotron music box and a WindowsXP machine in addition to the OpenBSD box. And the issues were the same when Samba 2.x and OBSD 3.4 were installed. Windows media player on the XP box plays

Polycom 501 sluggish keys: found the problem!
Here is what I had to change on the phone1.cfg file: I had this value in my 1.6.7 file, put in there following suggestions from the Wiki (http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index.php?page=Polycom+Soundpoint+IP+501) : reg.1.server.1.expires="30" Now, this worked flawlessly with 1.6.7. But with 2.x, this seizes up the phone with a huge CPU load (approaching 100% at times) and makes it

sluggish updating of gnome mail-notification?
Sorry if this is a repeat query. I am running dovecot 1.0.2 under NetBSD/i386 (3.1 and 4.0ish). I use maildirs, and deliver into them with procmail. For clients I use Gnus (CVS head) mostly and thunderbird, and also the gnome mail-notification status applet (4.0). Gnus fixed a bug in the last few months where exiting a group didn't unselect the folder and thus didn't necessarily push
