how to use \Sexpr{} with sweave
I'm trying to learn Sweave. So far things are going well with the chunks of code identified by << >>=
But I'm having trouble with the in-line text use of \Sexpr.
Here is a short example .Rnw file:
\documentclass[12pt]{article}
\usepackage[margin=1.25in]{geometry}
\usepackage{graphicx}
\usepackage{Sweave}
\begin{document}
<<test>>=

Sweave and \Sexpr{}
Hi:
I am trying to create a dynamic latex table using \Sexpr{} but it's not evaluating it. I also tried the example below without Sweave and also fails. I have also copied the Sweave.sty to my working directory but nothing seems to work. Do I need to have certain package in order to run \Sexpr{}?

\usepackage{C:/R/R-2.8.1/share/texmf/Sweave}

Sweave xtable
Hola

Apparent conflict between \Sexpr in Sweave and R2HTML
I have come across an apparent bug in the operation of Sweave. If I
load the package R2HTML then execution of \Sexpr{} in an *.Rnw file no
longer works. The \Sexpr{} code is simply written to the *.tex file.
Below are my *.Rnw file, commands, and output.
The Sweave file, Sweave-test-1_short.Rnw:

Sweave: R chunk inside caption?
Hi Folks,
I'm surprised, but I didn't find this question addressed anywhere. I'd
like to generate a LaTeX caption with R code. I've tried the code
below, but I get the following TeX error:
! Argument of \@caption has an extra }.
<inserted text>
\par
l.21 }
Any thoughts? Perhaps I'll have to write the "\caption{}" text with R?
thanks!

Sweave - if \Sexpr{} than \SweaveInput{"my.Rnw"}
Depending on an R computation I would like to include an Sweave documents
in the main Sweave document.
How can I do it?
So I was thinking .... to use Latex features :
\newif\ifpaper
\ifpaper
\SweaveInput{"my1.Rnw"}
\else
\SweaveInput{"my2.Rnw"}
\fi
But how do I set paper to true or false given an \Sexpr ??
\papertrue % or
\paperfalse
Any ideas?
cheers

sweave problem with special danish characters
Dear all,
I use Sweave to create my reports. my pdf output contains only NA's whenever my text contains special Danish characters like ø, ø and å. I have upgraded R from 2.13 to 2.15 and the scripts worked fine under R 2.13.

issues with Sweave and inclusion of graphics in a document
the problem is a little hard to explain; the .Rnw files (below)
probably do a better job, but here goes ...
Sweave doesn't like it when i size a graphical device in a code
chunk using either, e.g.:
windows(width=20, height=5)
in Windows, or, e.g.
x11(width=20, height=5)
under X, when i then plot something in said device and try to
include this graphical output in the resulting

Sweave in LATEX
Hello
I have been setting up my computer to run Sweave. I have got the whole thing
working on example files, except that my MikTex returns an "Undefined
Control Sequence" error for \Sexpr and my output file contains verbatim code
sequences at the apropriate point in the text rather than the R output. The
rest of the output file is fine with tables, R code sequences and figures in

odfWeave \Sexpr
Dear All,
Using odfWeave is working fine for me using code chunks <<...>>= ... @
But the inline \Sexpr{date()} is not evaluated and returns again
\Sexpr{date()} instead of "Thu Apr 17 18:15:47 2008".
What might be the reason for that, what do I have to look for?
I'm using Windows XP, R 2.6.1, odfWeave_0.7.3 and OpenOffice 2.4.

Sweave and \input or \include LaTeX commands
Hello!
I was just wondering if Sweave can work with \input or \include
LaTeX commands. So, is it aware of such a possible hierarchy in
documents. I would test that, but I don't have such a report
available at the moment.
I thought of that when I was writting shell script for Sweave
from command line and I have solved that part there.

Sweave: printing an underscore in the output from an R command
I am working with Sweave and would like to print out into my latex document the result of the R command
version$platform
So what I first tried in my .Rnw document was \Sexpr{print(version$platform)}.
However, the output from this command is the string "x86_64-apple-darwin10.8.0" (without the quotes). This contains an underscore, which is a special character in tex and so I get an error
