TukeyHSD plot error
Hi, I am seeking help with an error when running the example from R
Documentation for TukeyHSD. The error occurs with any example I run, from
any text book or website. thank you...

quesion about SS of ANOVA
Hi all:
I have a quesion about ANOVA: Is SS(Sum of Square) of a specific factor constant with the number of factors changing?
dat1 includes one factor g1,and g1's SS is called SS_g1_dat1.
dat2 includes two factors g1,g2,and g1's SS is called SS_g1_dat2.
My quesion is: Is SS_g1_dat1 equals to SS_g1_dat2?
I have both "yes" and "no" reasons for the quesion, but

Multiple comparison and two-way ANOVA design
Dear useRs,
I'm working on multiple comparison design on two factor (2 3 levels)
ANOVA. Each of the tests I have tried (Tukey, multcomp package) seem to
do only with one factor at a time.
fm1 <- aov(breaks ~ wool * tension, data = warpbreaks)
tHSD <- TukeyHSD(fm1, "tension", ordered = FALSE)

adjusted p-values with TukeyHSD?
hi list,
i have to ask you again, having tried and searched for several days...
i want to do a TukeyHSD after an Anova, and want to get the adjusted
p-values after the Tukey Correction.
i found the p.adjust function, but it can only correct for "holm",
"hochberg", bonferroni", but not "Tukey".
Is it not possbile to get adjusted p-values after

Change in R**2 for block entry regression
Hi all,
I'm demonstrating a block entry regression using R for my regression
class. For each block, I get the R**2 and the associated F. I do this
with separate regressions adding the next block in and then get the
results by writing separate summary() statements for each regression.
Is there a more convenient way to do this and also to get the change in
R**2 and associated F test for

restricting pairwise comparisons of interaction effects
I'm interested in restricting the pairwise comparisons of interaction
effects in a multi-way factorial ANOVA, because I find comparisons of
interactions between all different variables different to interpret.
For example (supposing a p<0.10 cutoff just to be able to use this
example):
> summary(fm1 <- aov(breaks ~ wool*tension, data = warpbreaks))
Df Sum Sq Mean Sq F

r format questions
Hi,
1) I have noticed that when I use the aggregate function it outputs numbers in the results. for example:
aggregate by product
group.1 Aggregate
1 ProductA 1000400.00
2 ProductB 23232323.00
3 Missing 232323.00
is there a way to suppress the numbers infront of aggregate outputs. I checked and they don't look like columns when I do a summary so I can't -1

Tukey HSD
Hello,
I am a little out of date and am still using S-Plus instead of R. I haven't been able to find the right place to ask this question, so I thought I would ask it here and hope that someone can help. I am unable to located the TukeyHSD() function in S-Plus. I have been able to use the GUI to run Tukey's test, but the results don't provide a p-value. Does anyone know how I can

dear all
effect of a, b and c on d, total 48 comparisons, got
one anova result in model1=aov(d~A*B*C). can we get
all the result in one command? or can we interpret the
whole comparisons from this result? how it work in

clustering levels using Tukey HSD in a one way anova
Dear all,
I am doing a one way between subjects anova in an unbalanced data set.
Suppose we have "a" levels of the one factor. I want to merge the not so
significantly different levels into the same cluster.
Can I do a Tukey Kramer HSD and then use the following algorithm:
For i in 2 : "a"
For j in 1 : i-1
if mean of level i is not significantly different

Kruskal-Wallis, Friedman tests and Tukey HSD
Dear all
Is there any way of doing a Tukey HSD post-hoc test after a Kruskal-
Wallis or Friedman rank sum test (in the ctest package)?

Question about Tukey HSD (stat package)
Dear all,
I would be glad if someone could tell me if Tukey HSD (function of stats
library) accept the NA values and could correct the unbalanced design
(different number of sample in each group)
Thanks for help

Tukey HSD following lme
Hi everyone
I'm using Tukey HSD as post-hoc test following a lme analysis. I'm
measuring hemicelluloses in different species treated with three
different CO2 concentrations (l=low, m=medium, h=high). The whole
experiment is a split-plot design and the Tukey-function from the
package multcomp is suitable for lme-analysis with random factors.
The analysis works fine but I get a non

Tukey HSD
Hey Folks:
New to R and learning as I go, but really, I know just enough to get myself
into trouble. I've waded through everything up till now, and don't see
anything in the search that is directly helpful for the POS that I've
created.
The GOAL: All I want in the world is a program that performs 1-way ANOVA's
on every column in a data set (taking the first column as the

Tukey HSD plot with lines indicating (non-)significance
Dear list members,
I'm running some tests looking at differences between means for various
levels of a factor, using Tukey's HSD method.
I would like to plot the data as boxplots or dotplots, with horizontal
significance lines indicating which groups are statistically
significantly different, according to Tukey HSD. Here's a nice image
showing an example of such a graphical

LSD, HSD,...
Hi,
I'm designing a experiment in order to compare the growing of
several clones of a tree specie. It will be a complete randomized block
design. How can I decide what model of mean comparision to choose? LSD,
HSD,TukeyHSD, Duncan,...? Thanks in advance
