[patch] fix bytesize in exception template; multibyte titleize
Hi all,
I wanted to draw some attention to a couple of very small multibyte-related
patches I believe should be included before Rails 3.0 RC1:
* Use String#bytesize rather than String#length in exception templates:
This is a simple case where string length is checked, but bytes is needed,
so it breaks with string with multibyte chars.

Why does titleize remove hyphens?
item.title = ''alpha-bravo''
item.title = item.title.titleize
puts item.title
alpha bravo
I didn''t notice this with 1.0 - a new bug in 1.1?

Multi-model forms
Hi guys, I''m new to ruby and rails and I''m working on multi model

Textfields
Hey everybody,
I've just merged my TextField hacking into master. It's basically a
big refactoring and test addition thing, to get signals and variables
report something sane. It's not complete yet, but I wanted to have it
in, so we don't get too many merge conflicts when Pekka fixes the HTML
parsing bugs. Here's a partial list of what's missing so far:

TEXTFIELD_ENTER_ONLY doesn''t work
Hi Lyle,
I noticed that when creating a FXTextField with TEXTFIELD_ENTER_ONLY it
still sends messages
to its target when other keys than KEY_Return are pressed.
I usually create a textfield this way:
textfield = FXTextField.new(self, 50, self, ID_INPUT, TEXTFIELD_ENTER_ONLY)
textfield.setText(aStr)
textfield.setFocus
textfield.move(x, y, w, h)
textfield.show
This way only the enter key should

Hello,
how can I get a variable driven summary of one column of my data.frame?
Usually I would do
> summary(data$columnname) to get a summary of column named
"columnname" of my data.frame named "data".
In my case the columnname is not static but can be set dynamically.
So I save the chosen columname in something like

Rails 3 - AJAX Response
Hi,
I need help with some AJAX in rails 3.
So basically, I have a select option in my index page for my User
model. This select option is a form that modifies the user''s type. The
" :remote => true " works and the type is changed when hit the submit
button. But, nothing happens in the browser. The user is updated.

[PATCH] in-place-editor, AJAX loading

Python binding and Xapian fields
Hi all,
I have spent more than 3 hours trying to figure out how Xapian documents
fields works ! It seems that I failed so I ask for help.
I am using Xapian 0.9.2 with Python bindings and Xapwrap (Python wrapper for
xapian) on Fedora Core 3. I have added custom fields like 'uri', 'title',
