Error in spdep: system is computationally singular
Hi all, I am trying to run an autologistic model using the function errorsarlm from spdep package. **I built an XY matrix extracting the two colums from matriz** coords1<-matriz[matriz$casos1==1, c(4,5)] coords1<-as.matrix(coords1) **I identify neighbours of region points** nb20<-dnearneigh(coords1,0,20,longlat=TRUE) ** I build a neighbours list with spatial weights**

spdep question
Dear list, (also sent to Roger Bivand, but perhaps somebody of you can help me also) I am trying to use package spdep for fitting an SAR model with errorsarlm. However, I am not sure how to make a valid nb object out of my neighborhood. As far as I have seen, there is no documentation for nb.object. I have done the following: class(pschmid$nb) <- "nb" # pschmid is a prab object as

Integer programming in R
Dear all, I am a relative newcomer to the R language, and am sussing out the possibilities of using R to do integer programming (which I am also new to). Is there something along the lines of the NUOPT S- PLUS package that is available, or on the way, for R? Are there other options for integer programming in R? Thanks very much in advance, Robin Naidoo University of Alberta Edmonton, AB,

large numbers of observations using ME() of spdep
Dear All, We aim to remove the spatial structure of our data using Moran Eigen Vectors and spdep package . Our data has 3694 samples and 13 variables. The computer stop working after almost 4 days of processing (we found it emitting a sharp sound and with all colors on the screen. No wories, it was restared without problem!). And we are left with nothing: no result file was produced since the

multiple autocorrelation coefficients in spdep?
Hello, Has anyone modified the errorsarlm in the R package spdep to allow for more than a single spatial autocorrelation coefficient (i.e. 'lambda')? Or, if not, any initial suggestions on how to make that modification? I have looked at the source code for the function and realize that any attempt to do it on my own would require much dedication, so would like to

Use of bread() function
Hello, I am trying to extract an estimator for the bread of the sandwich function. I used bread(fitted model) however it seems that I have missed something as an error message "no applicable method for "bread" appears. My fitted model is a Spatial simultaneous autoregressive error model.(errorsarlm in spdep package) Can anyone please tell me what I might be doing wrong? Your

How to handle NA-values in raster-based Geary´s C test?
Hi, I have a question on testing spatial autocorrelation on raster data including NA-values. In particular, I like to calculate Moran?s I and Geary?s C indices by using inverse distance weighting matrices. Calculating Moran?s I with moran.test works fine, because the function contains the option "na.action=na.pass". Unfortunately, the function geary.test does not contain this

Getting "Error: No such host" and [ERR ACCESS-DENIED]
I'm using NUT 2.4.1 with openSUSE 11.2, my UPS is an MGE/Eaton Ellipse ASR 1500 USBS. The set-up is as described at http://rogerprice.org/NUT.html. Since NUT uses TCP wrappers, I have the /etc/hosts.allow entry upsd : 10.0.0/24, localhost, LOCAL, 127.0.0.1 : ALLOW When I pull the plug from the wall to test my setup, I get the sequence of KDE notifications and finally a

Fwd: DLLs
Thanks for your help with this problem about dynamic linked libraries. I thought I had it solved, but apparently not. Below is a small piece of Pascal code that I compile into a library. When I load the library using dyn.load R becomes very unstable. The Mac GUI crashes in all kinds of situations --even moving a window can sometimes crash it. Running from the command line (I thought the

spdep question - Moran's I
Dear all, I would like to calculate a Moran's I statistic using the moran function in the spdep package. The problem I'm having deals with how to create the listw object. My data stems from the area of social network analysis. I have list of poeple and for each pair of them I have a measure of their relationship strength. So my dataset looks like: Jim; Bob; 0.5 This measure of

how to find observed Moran's I value using moran.test(spdep)
Dear , This is Elaine. I am computing moran's I using moran.test for a generalized linear model (multiregression). The following contents are the results, and I cannot find the observed Moran's I mentioned as estimate in the manual. Please kindly help indicate if there is observed Moran's I did not notice or other method for calculation. Thanks Elaine data: residuals(modg1)

The spdep package
Hi, Here is a listw object z corresponding to the matrix W. I understand n, nn, S0, S1 and S2 in the weights constants summary. Is it simply so that n1 = n-1, n2 = n-2 and n3 = n-3? If this is true where they are needed? Just wondering Osmo > W [,1] [,2] [,3] [,4] [,5] [,6] [,7] [,8] [,9] [1,] 0 1 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 [2,] 1 0 1 0 1 0

spdep
Hi everyone, The Spatial Dependence (spdep) library, has a function called 'dnearneigh', which identifies neighbours of region points by Euclidean distance between lower (greater than) and upper (less than or equal to) bounds. The function returns a list of integer vectors giving the region id numbers for neighbours satisfying the distance criteria. I have used this to identify the
