MCMCpack gelman.plot and gelman.diag
Hi,
A question. When I run gelman.diag and gelman.plot
with mcmc lists obtained from MCMCregress, the results are following.
> post.R <- MCMCregress(Size~Age+Status, data = data, burnin = 5000, mcmc = 100000,
+ thin = 10, verbose = FALSE, beta.start = NA, sigma2.start = NA,

stepAIC/lme (1.6.2)
Based on the stepAIC help, I have assumed that it only was for lm, aov, and
glm models. I gather from the following correspondence that it also works
with lme models.

Hi everybody.
I know, I'm too lazy, but I was wondering when the binary for Linux/Debian
Woody will be available. I could find only the version for unstable (Sid).
TIA,

R-1.4.1 crashes on Debian Woody
Hi-
I've upgraded to Debian Woody. I've downloaded and installed the new R-1.4.1.
However, it crashes on me, complaining about libblas.so.2.
BTW, what's the difference between r-base and r-recommended?
Any ideas?
TIA

Debian woody (stable) 1.0pre8 package
Hello,
The package for Debian woody (stable)1.0pre8 on the download site is
dependent on a version of libc6 that is newer than the version of
libc6 in woody (stable), which is 2.2.5-11.2.
Can this be fixed so it can be installed on a standard woody system?
Thanks very much!

domain groups in samba 2.2.3a debian woody
Hello, I'm using samba 2.2.3a in debian woody. I've set up the debian server as a PDC, and clients can join and log in fine. What I'm now looking for is how to set up groups for my users. When I try to set the security for a file in windows, I see the users on the linux server, but no groups. How do I map between unix group and samba groups? I've seen mention of the

rsprng depends on libraries available in the "genesis" package. However, even
when Genesis is installed, the installation of the source package fails for not
finding rsprng.h. It turns out that Debian installs it in a subdirectoru of
/usr/include, and that the rsprng

smbldap-populate under debian woody fail
I really hate Debian sometimes - no I don't want to start a flame war!
In the smbldap-populate script (0.84) some of the template entries are
commented out, the first one being the one after "cn=Domain Guests".
Obviously the perl version shipped with woody chokes on the commented
parts, which causes the script to die. After uncommenting all the
templates the script runs

I am using samba 3.0.9 on Debian (woody) IA 64 bit server. I have made

Can't print from applications in W2K to Samba (version 2.2.3a, Debian woody)
Dear all
I am currently setting up a Samba server and am experiencing a bit of a
problem with printing:
I have a Canon LBP-1000 connected to the Samba server via the parallel
port. Printing directly from the machine works fine. Printing to the
printer directly attached to my W2K client works fine, too. When I try
to print from the W2K client to the printer connected to the Samba
server, however,
