Puppetlabs Yum Repo augeas for RHEL6 x86_64
Hello, I am working on building an internal repo for RHEL6 x86_64 and I don''t see any augeas rpms in the puppetlabs repo? There are for i686 but not x86_64? Are the rpms "noarch" that can be used for both? -chrisl -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. To post to this group, send email to

Ext3 indexed directory extension.
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Searching in the ext3 filesystem mailing list I have seen that there is an indexed directory extension for it. Is this extension stable code ? Has anyone test it ? How may I obtain and install it ? Is it available in any of the last kernel releases ? Greetings. - --- Carles Xavier Munyoz Baldó carles@descom.es Descom Consulting Telf: +34

QUERY: function optimize
I have had problems with the function optimize/optimise for maximising/minimising a function of one variable. It seems to get easily fooled by local optima. Obviously this can happen to any numerical optimiser but some of the examples I have a pretty disappointing. Any comments of suggestions of a better R-function? --------------------------------------------------- Chris Lloyd Associate

Puppet delegation / teams
I would like to delegate access to puppet to other teams in our company. It has to be possible for them to: - create new recipes - doing some sort of check if their recipes / templates work. How should I do this without giving other teams the ability to create havoc? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. To post to this

Calculating/understanding variance-covariance matrix of logistic regression (lrm $var)
Hallo! I want to understand / recalculate what is done to get the CI of the logistic regression evaluated with lrm. As far as I came back, my problem is the variance-covariance matrix fit$var of the fit (fit<-lrm(...), fit$var). Here what I found and where I stucked: ----------------- library(Design) # data D<-c(rep("a", 20), rep("b", 20)) V<-0.25*(1:40) V[1]<-25

faraway tutorial: cryptic command to newbie
I am just about working through Faraways excellent tutorial "practical regression and ANOVA using R" on page 24 he makes the x matrix: x <- cbind(1,gala[,-c(1,2)]) how can I understand this gala[,-c(1,2)])... I couldn't find an explanation of such "c-like" abbreviations anywhere. thanks for a hint. another problem: I couldn't load the faraway library, using the

plot as .ps file: where are the axes and labels gone
Sorry, I am sure, this must be documented somewhere (but there are that many docs and tutorials to scan for topics..., actually a great thing... but if you are in a hurry..): I want to save a plot as .ps (or .eps): > postscript("plot1.eps", horizontal=FALSE, onefile=FALSE,height=8,width=8,pointsize=10) > plot(hpfit$fit, rstudent(hpfit),xlab="Fitted

Speeding indexing and sub-sectioning of 3d array
Hi, I am having a problem with a very slow indexing and sub-sectioning of a 3d array: > dim(arr) [1] 245 175 150 For each point in the array, I am trying to calculate the mean of the values in its surrounding: mean( arr[ (i - radius):(i + radius), (j - radius):(j + radius), (k - radius):(k + radius)] ) Putting that code in 3

scatterplot3d
Dear R-help, I am having trouble with your scatterplot3d program. For help with this problem I was directed to your address by Martin Maechler at " r-core-bounces at r-project.org." I'm also sending a CC to " r-core-owner at r-project.org" as I'm not yet certain of the proper address to use for this. I have R version 2.8.1 and have downloaded 'scatterplot3d.'

RE: [Ext2-devel] Re: ext3 htree brelse problems look to be fixed!
I post a patch for comment on ext2-devel for the NFS cookie bug. Did not get any feedback yet. As Ted suggested, it set the cookie to -1 on EOF, even though it is not seek able to there. I only test it with Stephen's "readdir.c". Not have chance to run it on a NFS server yet. Do you have more information about the cache trashing bug? Regards, Chris ===== dir.c 1.5 vs edited
