cannot use add-ons packages
Hi all
After a trivial install on my Debian system (just gnome-games for my
wife!), my R programs decided not to work, since the 'date' library
wouldn't load. The message I got is:
Error in dyn.load(x, as.logical(local), as.logical(now)) :
         unable to load shared library
"/usr/lib/R/library/date/libs/date.so":

Deletion of destination files
Hi to all rsync users.
rsync's `--delete' option works fine in the following example: I'm sending all
the content of /home/rodolfo from machine1 to /home/rodolfo in machine2:
 $ rsync --dry-run -vrtul --delete --exclude='/.*' . 192.168.0.2:/home/rodolfo
, and --delete works perfectly. Instead, in this other example:
 $ rsync --dry-run -vrt --delete --modify-window=1 file1

See --delete-missing-args (a fairly new feature)

libvorbis config error
Hi all.
I found some references to a problem similar to mine in the archives,
but none of the solutions posed there worked, so I'm left to ask again.
I'm running Debian 2.2r5, libc6, and as far as I know all other
necessary libraries for compilation. libao and libogg compile and
install fine, but when I try run ./configure for libvorbis, it fails and
says it can't find libogg.

Does the Windows 7 work with a Samba 3.2.5? If it does,
where can I find a documentation about it?
Thanks'

Problems with OpenSSH2.9p1 on Linux/Sparc
Let me start this with the disclaimer that I am a Linux lover that only
pretends to
have any clue about coding.
I grabbed the latest version of OpenSSH (v2.9p1) and went to install it
on my Sparc
(RH 6.2, v2.4.2). Unlike OpenSSH 2.5.2p2, however, when I tried to
compile it
I got the following error:
... <compiling away> ...
gcc -g -O2 -Wall -I. -I. -I/usr/local/ssl/include

SIP # DTMF
Hi. In creating a custom extension, and dialing
SIP/222/333#444, seems the party receives only "333"
What should I do to send the # symbol? or better, where can I find that
syntax? Googled a lot, nothing.
Thanks!

JIT and atexit crash
Hi everyone, hi Lang,
I have a question about Orc JIT (and I think LLVM JIT in general).
I am jitting some C++ code that calls atexit and registers a function at some address 0xdeadbeef. Everything is fine, but when the host program (the one that JITs C++ code) shuts down, then I see a crash:
error: memory read failed for 0xdeadbeef
With the following backtrace:

AFAIK atexit() should only take one arg. It looks like configure might not be
finding your libc atexit() and is using the compat macro in defines.h. What does
configure report when it looks for atexit()?
Ben, the compat macro looks wrong too. It is currently defined

[QUAR] How can I make a rotative board?
Rodolfo,
I haven't looked up how to do this with sip phones, but the zap channels can be configured in
groups that will hunt through the group until a non-busy line is found.
