stamp function in R
Dear R experts, currently I'm converting a bit of trivial Splus code to R. In Splus I came across the stamp function. Does R have something similar? Thank you very much for your time. Ananke P.S.: Keep up the good work on R. It's great! can R produce gifs?
Dear R users, I would like to produce gifs or jpegs with R, as I would like to display them on a webpage. Is there an easier/faster/better way to do it than to generate postscript files and then use a utility like pstogif. The problem is that if possible I would like to get away without installing ghostscript, as my quota is too small. Thank you very much for your time and bandwidth, Ananke

Filling In Grid based on 0 and 1
Hi, I'm wondering if I can do this in R. I have a data set with questions (x-value) and respondents (y-value). If the respondent answered the question they get a 1 and if the respondent didn't answer the question they have a 0. Is there anyway where I can graph something similar to a grid where if a person answered a questions (value of 1) a cell gets shaded and if a person didn't

4.0 stopped working after updating xubuntu 13.04
Hi I got some strange issues on my samba4.0.1 install yesterday. It happened a while after updating my xubuntu server 13.04 not 13.10. Everything seems to be working fine except shares. Kerberos authentication seem to function properly, also DNS works fine but shares seem semi-broken. I can't mount any shares on my Windows box, including netlogon, profiles. I have one share that is

Focus problem for shaded windows
Hi, today, I noticed a problem in focus handling for shaded windows which is pretty easy to reproduce: - Disable "Click to focus" - Shade a window - Hover another window - Hover back to the window frame of the shaded window - Press Ctrl+Alt+S Expected behaviour would be that the shaded window is unshaded. What happens is that the last active window is shaded. I investigated this a

'background' problem
I have a 'day' and a 'night' mode. In the day mode, I play a 'background' message which is interruptable by the pushing of a DTMF key - ie - all is normal. In night mode - I decided to get smarter... I play two backgrounds with a 'sayunixtime' in between and now DTMF does nothing - the menu times out to my 'lets get the operator then'... If I change the

How to grant a kerberos ticket after successful imap authentication from dovecot
Hello everybody, I hope this question is appropriate for this list. Apologies if not. I am running a set of virtual machines under debian 6, to build a mail/collaboration server. I am mainly using dovecot, postfix, openldap and heimdal. Mails are stored using maildir, on a NFSv4 share. My users are system users, but using LDAP and libpam-ldap and libnss-ldap for caching credentials

Problem w/ MySQL update from perl AGI script
I've been trying to get a basic 5 question IVR survey working in an AGI script, and am having trouble with the SQL portion not updating the table. When I take out all the AGI references, and run just the perl script, the table updates with no problem(DBname, username, password have been substituted in this example for the actual values): #!/usr/bin/perl # # use DBI; $DATETIME =

Placing a Shaded Box on a Plot
Hello, I would like to place shaded boxes on different areas of a phylogenetic tree plot. Since I can not determine how to find axes on the phylogenetic tree plot I am not able to place the box over certain areas. Below is example code for the shaded box that I have tried to use, and the first four values specify the position. rect(110, 400, 135, 450, col="grey",

Perl Script for pulling information from a mysql database
Here''s the script. I would have posted it to a website, but I figure this''ll be better so it is always on the list for people in the future in case they wanted to see it. If you have any questions about any of it, please let me know. Mike and I aren''t the cleanest of programmers. Cron the script to run whenever you need it to. :) #!/usr/bin/perl # # TC Helper Script:

[LLVMdev] Phi + Select Optimization
Hi Roland, > If we have this: > > a = phi(X, X, undef, undef, X, undef) such a phi should already be replaced by X if X dominates this basic block. Is this not the case? Or does each X here not necessary represent the same value? Ciao, Duncan. > X = select cond, sth, a > > or this: > > a = phi(X, X, undef, undef, X, undef) > X = select cond, a, sth > > we can

AGI Module
Hey all, I'm sorry to bother you with something so trivial, but I seem to be having an issue with the Asterisk::AGI module. I am a relative newbie with Perl so it could be a stupid syntax mistake that I missed. It seems when I try to execute either the stream_file or the get_data subs nothing is actually done. It doesn't seem to stream the files, but on the console it says it played the

DISA and AGI: authenticate by caller ID?
I'm having trouble getting an AGI exec command to spawn app_disa. The script executes properly, but does not spawn DISA. The CLI gives no helpful clues. Am I doing the exec incorrectly? I want to have a way to authenticate callers to the extension by Caller ID... if their caller ID is in my database and set to active, they can call out. [like a calling card but auth'd by CID instead

barplot() using beside=TRUE and the density argument
Hi I am using barplot() to draw some barplots, with a matrix as the data so that multiple bars are drawn for each data point. I want to use the argument "beside=TRUE" to juxtapose the bars instead of stacking them. If I execute: barplot(data,names.arg=names,density=c(20,10),beside=FALSE) I get the expected behaviour i.e. the bottom part of the column is shaded 20 lines per inch, the

Documentation: format of read.table help text (PR#14180)
Dear R developers, I find the format of descriptions of the arguments in the read.table help text slightly inconsistent. For example, the logical arguments comes in seven different formats, more or less explicit about the consequences of a TRUE (or FALSE): 1. check.names logical. If TRUE then the names... 2. blank.lines.skip logical: if TRUE blank lines... 3. flush logical: if TRUE,
