Please help: domU becomes unresponsive
Hi all, sorry to intrude on xen-devel, but I think I need direction from the expertise here. I''ve admin''d Xen servers of various flavors for a couple years, but never seen this before. After a period ranging from several hours to several days, my primary database and development DomU completely locks up. Net disconnects, but CPU(sec) continues to tick in xentop. No errors, and

OT - Automated rpm builds
Hi Currently devs check code into perforce and we have to checkout > package > update repo > deploy I know this could be scripted but are there any tools out there that can take code from a repository and build rpm's in a continuous integration type manner? I have been hunting around for such a tool and so far not seeing anything obvious as i dont want to reinvent the wheel if

Sim City 4 Not Opening
I've installed the program just fine, and it even started and ran just fine immediately after the installation, but now SimCity 4 will not open. Has anyone had this problem of it working fine the first go round but not at all after that? If you need more info, I'll be glad to give it to you. Thanks.

Short story: Would it be possible to get kernel-debuginfo-2.6.9-67.0.20.EL.x86_64.rpm on di.c.o? I have a need to run crash on a 2.6.9-67.0.20.ELxenU xm dump-core. Long story: Two Dell 6950 (now called R905, 4 Dual-Core AMD Opteron 8200 series) heartbeat/drbd nodes running the stock CentOS 5.2 Dom0. The domU's are the only resources in heartbeat. Dom1 is a perfectly running, updated, CentOS

Suppressing observation numbers
Dear R gurus, Below is a part of the R output. Please consider the two lines: > data > model.matrix(m1) Is there a way of suppressing the observation numbers 1, 2, ...27 in the output (I don't want these number to appear in the output)? libsrtp package anywhere?
Hi list, I'm trying to create an asterisk 1.8 rpm with SRTP. I found mention of a libsrtp rpm, <http://qutecom.ipex.cz/RPMS/srtp-1.4.4-1.i386.rpm > in these instructions, <http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+SRTP> but it is unreachable (by me, anyway). The libSRTP source is here, <http://srtp.sourceforge.net/download.html>. Has this already been packaged for

procmail, and the care and feeding of mailing list content received
Some threads just go on too long. Personally I think a troll has hijacked the main centos list again and is inducing food fight behaviours while that troll perfectly 'innocently' asserting that it is just respoding to all email. see: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4216011961522818645 for a discussion of the problem of 'capture' in FOSS projects. Fan speed control on Supermicro X8DAL board with CentOS
Hello folks, I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out why the CPU cooling fans run at full speed on my Supermicro X8DAL-3 motherboard. There doesn't seem to be any variable speed (the fans are PWM compatible) ... they either idle at almost nothing, or suddenly burst into a high-pitched scream that gets my ears bleeding after a few seconds. Once they jump to warp-10, they

whatever happend to unobtrusive javascript in Rails ?
Don''t get me wrong, JavaScript/Ajax helpers in Rails are a huge timesaver and they have helped me to finally overcome my irrational aversion to js libraries like prototype and such. However, all this goodness seems to come at quiet a price. The resulting code is littered with inline JS, including ubiquitous script tags and onload attributes etc.. It seems that just when i found

Java Setup
Hi People I have been following the instructions here http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/JavaOnCentOS but trying to modify them for jdk-6u7-linux-amd64.rpm but there doesn't see to be a compatible java-1.6.0-sun-compat-*.rpm. Does one exist ? If not can anyone point me to some documentation on how I can manually set up things so alternatives will work allowing multiple Java versions.
