[PATCH] amd iommu: Dump flags of IO page faults
Hi Jan, Attached patch dumps io page fault flags. The flags show the reason of the fault and tell us if this is an unmapped interrupt fault or a DMA fault. pv_ops DomU boot problem using pvgrub, xen 3.4.1-rc7, debian 2.6.26 dom0
I can''t boot my PV domU domain using a pv_ops 2.6.30.1 kernel. Using the xenified standard debian kernel (2.6.26, the same as in dom0) in DomU it does boot with pvgrub. Any clues, to what to try or test ? IOMMU and AMD 890fx
Hi, All the reviews for the AMD 890fx chipset reported that it supports IOMMU v1.2. But I cannot find any mention of that on AMD site. Does 890fx support IOMMU? Do 890fx motherboards with IOMMU exist? Does Xen support 890fx? [PATCH] tools: revert to using /var and /etc/
26470:acaf29203cf9 "tools+stubdom: install under /usr/local by default" moved more stuff under /usr/local than was desirable. In particular SYSCONFIG_DIR (configuration for initscripts) moved to /usr/local/etc/{sysconfig,defaults} while the initscripts themselves (correctly) remained in /etc/init.d. Moving /etc/xen/scripts breaks the udev bakcned rules file. Lastly stuff under /var was

AMD IOMMU disabled - No Perdev Intremap
Hi! From other people posting to this list, I know that there has been a bug related to the issue described in Xen Security Advisory 36 that disables iommu for some AMD users like me. However, even when passing "iommu=no-amd-iommu-perdev-intremap" it still disables i/o virtualisatoin. Related Xen dmesg output: (XEN) IVHD Error: Invalid IO-APIC 0 (XEN) AMD-Vi: Error initialization

[xen-unstable] FATAL PAGE FAULT when shutting down guest with pci passthrough using MSI interrupts
Hi Jan, It seems the last changes to xen-unstable to implement multi-msi-irq''s cause some trouble. The guest starts and works fine. But it causes a xen crash when shutting the guest down. (xen_changeset: Thu Jul 4 16:01:06 2013 +0100 git:d4435fe) If you need more info than given below in the serial log snippet, just say so .. -- Sander (XEN) [2013-07-17 19:10:09] AMD-Vi: Share p2m

xhci passthrough
Hi Konrad, Due to a 2.6.37-merge-window kernel now being able to boot under Xen i was able to test my xhci controller under dom0 which i previously couldn''t. The results: A) 2.6.37-merge-window kernel baremetal: Videograbbing while doing 20 iterations of make -j6 of kernel works. B) Xen + 2.6.37-merge-window kernel as Dom0: Videograbbing while doing 20 iterations of make -j6 of kernel

[PATCH v8] interrupts: allow guest to set/clear MSI-X mask bit
Guest needs the ability to enable and disable MSI-X interrupts by setting the MSI-X control bit, for a passed-through device. Guest is allowed to write MSI-X mask bit only if Xen *thinks* that mask is clear (interrupts enabled). If the mask is set by Xen (interrupts disabled), writes to mask bit by the guest is ignored. Currently, a write to MSI-X mask bit by the guest is silently ignored. A

xennet: skb rides the rocket: 20 slots
Hi Ian, Today i fired up an old VM with a bittorrent client, trying to download some torrents. I seem to be hitting the unlikely case of "xennet: skb rides the rocket: xx slots" and this results in some dropped packets in domU, I don''t see any warnings in dom0. I have added some extra info, but i don''t have enough knowledge if this could/should be prevented from
