Install FreeBSD x86 PV DomU without HVM
Hello all, I have a question about the installation of a FreeBSD i386 PV DomU. Is it possible to install a FreeBSD i386 PV DomU directly from Dom0 without the need of a HVM DomU? So my Dom0 is Debian Squeeze running on Xen 4.2. I found no information about this in the web. They all first create a HVM guest and convert it to PV which I think is a very uncomfortable way. Xen HVM domU won't start since updates to 2.6.18-164.15.1 kernels
I have a dom0 machine running CentOS 5.4 with all the latest updates using Xen as my hypervisor. I am using Xen in part because this machine was set up prior to KVM being included in RHEL, and in part because KVM's network bridging configuration is not nearly as simple as Xen's. The dom0 machine is a headless Mac Mini and I do all of my VM management via virsh from the command line. I

Sabayon hvm domU problems: the Windows Manager doesn't start
Hello, I set up a Sabayon Linux domU as hvm guest and I completed the installation successfully. The problem is that when KDE is going to start, I see a blank screen. I use vncviewer but I don''t think this problem is related to vnc. Then I''ve read the minimal system requirements and I have seen this: 1) i686 Processor (starting from AMD K6 and Intel Pentium II) 2) 512 MB of RAM

Hi folks, The following are initial virtio-scsi + target vhost benchmark results using multiple target LUNs per vhost and multiple virtio PCI adapters to scale the total number of virtio-scsi LUNs into a single KVM guest. The test setup is currently using 4x SCSI LUNs per vhost WWPN, with 8x virtio PCI adapters for a total of 32x 500MB ramdisk LUNs into a single guest, along with each backend
