[patch] xen bridged network setup fixes
Hi,
The attached patch fixes the setup of the bridge ports and the bridge
itself. Changes:
* move some functions to xen-network-common.sh, so both vif-bridge
and network-bridge can use them.
* add a new function to configure bridge ports and use it.
* make sure arp requests, ipv6 autoconfiguration and ipv6 router
solicitations are disabled for the bridge ports and also for the

Lowering Select to Two Predicated Movs
Hi,
I was wondering what would be the best way to lower a select operation two
predicated movs. I looked through the ARM, MIPS, and NVPTX backends and
they all seem to lower a select to some sort of conditional move or native
select operation.
Ex.
select t3, cond, t2, t1
Becomes
cond mov t3, t2
!cond mov t3, t1

Lowering Select to Two Predicated Movs
My bad for not looking further. I'm still somewhat confused though. MOVCCr
gets expanded in the ARMExpandPseudoInsts pass, and it still seems only a
case of one instruction replacing the other.
My worry of emitting two instructions, is that a dead code pass will
eliminate the first instruction cause it thinks the second instruction is
defining the same register.

[PATCH v2] nvc0/ir: propagate immediates to CALL input MOVs
On using builtin functions we have to move the input to registers $0 and $1, if
one of the input value is an immediate, we fail to propagate the immediate:
...
mov u32 $r477 0x00000003 (0)
...
mov u32 $r0 %r473 (0)
mov u32 $r1 $r477 (0)
call abs BUILTIN:0 (0)
mov u32 %r495 $r1 (0)
...
With this patch the immediate is propagated, potentially causing the first MOV
to be superfluous, which we'd

VLC? I assumed everyone used that anyway.

Please help me convert Quicktime Movs into .ogg
Hi there, I'm Andy Jenkins. I work in broadcast video and have recently
had a client ask for a programme supplied as a .ogg file. I am in no
way a computer programmer, but am trying hard to find out more about
creating ogg files. I have downloaded the ogg quicktime components and
can certainly view and hear picture and audio, however I cannot
successfully export an .ogg. I can however

Lowering Select to Two Predicated Movs
Ohh, that makes sense. And is the reason the first instruction doesn't get
deleted because the ExpandPseudoInstructions pass occurs after Register
Allocation and machine dead code elimination?

Hallo!
SSH nutzen k?nnen. Die Firewall ist unschuldig.

CentOS 5 sound problems on ICH5
Hi
I have installed CentOS 5 on my computer which has an Intel ICH5 sound
chip. The card appears as it should, and I can adjust the volume just
fine. However, when I try to play a sound file(.ogg for instance),
rhythmbox plays through the file, but no sound is heard. I've tried as
root, and I've tried doing cat /dev/urandom > /dev/dsp, and it's all quiet.

subject: horizontal text in barplot
I have a problem with the ylabs in barplot. When I draw the bars
horizontal the text for the y axis is not drawn horizontal too.
The text remains vertical. How can I change that. Thank's for your advice.
There is an example below.
##Example

Neural Networks in R
Hello!
We are a group of three students at Bielefeld University currently working
on a statistical projects about neural networks. Within the framework of this
project we are supposed to use the nnet-function in R and explain how it
works. Since anyone of us has much experience in using R we hoped to find some
information on your homepage. Unfortunatelly, we haven't been very successfull

[RFC] Hypercalls from HVM guests
Hi,
I am currently working on hypercalls from HVM guests. I started with a set
of Intel patches posted to xen-devel last September. I currently have code
running for both 32-bit and 64-bit HVM guests running on a 64-bit hypervisor.
I am curious why none of the original patches were accepted, and what I might
need to do to make them acceptable.
Is other work being done in this area that

Problem with Windows 7 and roaming profiles
Hello together,
we try to setup a samba domain controller with LDAP and roaming profiles for Win7-Clients.
Everything looks fine last Friday but today the clients did not longer save changes to the profiles. There is no error in samba log and also no in the windows log. If I delete a profile from a client it is loaded correctly at next logon, but the changes are not saved at logout.

initialize a factor vector
What is the least surprising way of initializing a factor with
predefined levels and with length 0?
as.factor(c("eins", "zwei", "drei"))[FALSE]
does the job but looks a bit weird.
