RODC-Connection to more than one file
Hallo everyone! Has anyone an idee to get out data of more than one Excel-file via RODBC with one single sqlQuery-command? The RODBC-manual shows how the sql command shoot run, but every time I try, I got an error, that the ODBC-connection to one of the files was not successful. If I make a sqlQuery for only one file (e. g. in DatAllg.XLS without variables from DatBev.XLS / b. ...), the

Memory problem in R
Hi all, I am running an -MNP- multinomial probit model package using R. It gives me the following objection instead of giving me the results: Erreur : impossible d'allouer un vecteur de taille 137.9 Mo (in english: cannot allocate a 137.9 Mb vector memory).  I have already increased the memory size upto 2047Mb. A Tribute to my Great Grandmother (Off Topic)
I realize this is off-topic, but I need to post it. I had to go up to Connecticut on January the 12th quite unexpectedly because my great-grandmother Ethel, someone I was very close to, died that morning, at 93 years old. She was an incredible woman. I was asked to be one of the pallbearers. Her ultimate goal in life, and one she fulfilled every day, was to make people laugh. She truly

rsync fails with 2 sources
I have this failing every times I want to "update" the "destination". I've tried through SSH (from my box -/home is a NFS mount point here- to the backup one) or directly through "local transport" (because /home/ is a local RAID-5 mount point on the backup box). $ rsync -v -e /usr/bin/ssh -ax --delete \ /home/beta /home/worx \

ZFS Support for remote mirroring
Does ZFS support any type of remote mirroring? It seems at present my only two options to achieve this would be Sun Cluster or Availability Suite. I thought that this functionality was in the works, but I haven''t heard anything lately. Thanks! PATCH 0/10: Merge PV framebuffer & console into QEMU
The following series of 10 patches is a merge of the xenfb and xenconsoled functionality into the qemu-dm code. The general approach taken is to have qemu-dm provide two machine types - one for xen paravirt, the other for fullyvirt. For compatability the later is the default. The goals overall are to kill LibVNCServer, remove alot of code duplication and/or parallel impls of the same concepts, and

Poor performance on NFS-exported ZFS volumes
I''m seeing some pretty pitiful performance using ZFS on a NFS server, with a ZFS volume exported (only with rw=host.foo.com,root=host.foo.com opts) and mounted on a Linux host running kernel 2.4.31. This linux kernel I''m working with is limited in that I can only do NFSv2 mounts... irregardless of that aspect, I''m sure something''s amiss. I mounted the zfs-based
