A different probklem with save/restore on C/S 14823.
I''m not seeing the problem that Fan Zhao is reporting, instead I get this one. Not sure if ti''s the same one or a different problem... This happens with my simple-guest [i.e. not using hvmloader, as I described before]. This worked fine yesterday. Kernel Panic in wct4xxp during unload on Zaptel-1.4.4
I attempted an upgrade of our production system from Asterisk/Zaptel 1.2 to 1.4 this weekend. Intially everything looked like it was working properly, but some time in the day following the upgrade, the system died to a kernel panic. I wasn't able to catch the entire kernel dump on the console unfortunately. I attempted to isolate the panic, and found that when 'service zaptel stop'

[PATCH] x86/vtsc: update vcpu_time after hvm_set_guest_time
When using a vtsc, hvm_set_guest_time changes hvm_vcpu.stime_offset, which is used in the vcpu time structure to calculate the tsc_timestamp, so after updating stime_offset we need to propagate the change to vcpu_time in order for the guest to get the right time if using the PV clock. This was not done correctly, since in context_switch update_vcpu_system_time was called before vmx_do_resume,

[PATCH v2 2/4] xen/arm: do not use is_running to decide whether we can write directly to the LR registers
During context switch is_running is set for the next vcpu before the gic state is actually saved. This leads to possible nasty races when interrupts need to be injected after is_running is set to the next vcpu but before the currently running gic state has been saved from the previous vcpu. Use current instead of is_running to check which one is the currently running vcpu: set_current is called

Centos-4 Kernel pannic
Hi all, We are running a new Centos-4 server, and it has kernel panicked on us 4 times in the last month. After the first kernel panic we hooked up a serial console to the server and captured the output in order to have a record of what happens. I've included the error messages from the last time it locked up... but it doesn't really mean much to me. Anybody have any ideas what might be

[PATCH 6/10] Allow vcpu to pause self
Add self pause ability, which is required by vcpu0/dom0 when running on a AP. This can''t be satisfied by existing interface, since the new flag also serves as a sync point. Xen and EVMS/Raid5 - Null pointer dereference
Hi, A problem with EVMS and Xen: I have patched a 2.6 kernel with the evms patches and then with the Xen patched, compiled and installed it. (kernel is 2.6.11.9 - which is what this server has been running for the past few months w/o the evms patches) At first everything seems to work just fine, I am able to use evms to create a new "volume", in this case it is based on MD/RAID-5 but

Looks like I can reproduce this pretty easily, this happened upon ssh'ing into the server while I had a VM migrating into it. The system goes completely unresponsive (can't even

Xen 64 but supported memory limit
Hello, We are looking to use Xen as our hypervisor. However, after doing some research it''s still not clear as to the amount of memory Xen 64bit can support? The highest I''ve found is 4TB of physical memory. For the host VM''s, I''ve found several statements that indicated that the max per VM was 32GB. Are these numbers accurate? And can these limits be removed

[PATCH v2 0/4] XEN: fix vmx exception mistake
Changes from v1: - Define new struct hvm_trap to represent information of trap, include instruction length. - Renames hvm_inject_exception to hvm_inject_trap. Then define a couple of wrappers around that function for existing callers, so that their parameter lists actually *shrink*. This series of patches fix the mistake for debug exception(#DB), overflow exception(#OF) and INT3(#BP),

[RFC PATCH 0/2] GLOBAL() macro for asm code.
Hello, This series has been split into two patches, one for arm and one for x86. I figured that this was easier than doing it as a single combined patch, especially as the changes are functionally independent. x86 has been boot tested, but arm has not even been compile tested as I lack a suitable cross compiler. However, the changes are just text replacement, so I dont expect any issues. The

Tracking down hangs
We're using a storage solution involving two SunFire X4500 servers using DRBD to replicate a 15TB partition across the network with ocfs2 on top. We're sharing the partition from one server over NFS and the other is mounted read-only at present. The DBRD backing store is software RAID 60 on 40 disks. We've been seeing periodic issues whereby our NFS clients (Debian Lenny) are very
