Re-release of R 2.1.0
Due to a mishap in the build procedure, the originally released
sources erroneously had "2.2.0" in several places within the
"configure" file. A re-released version has been put up in
http://biostat.ku.dk/~pd/R-release/
and should find its way to CRAN and its mirrors some time tomorrow.
The new files have md5 sums as follows:

Changes in expression in R 2.0.1
Hello!
plot(1:10,main=expression(1 <= "m" <= 5))
The above command works perfectly in R 1.9.1 but returns an error in R 2.0.1
This is documented in NEWS for R 2.0.0 (or ONEWS in R 2.0.1) and it is said:
o R no longer accepts associative use of relational operators.
That is, 3 < 2 < 1 (which used to evalute as TRUE!) now causes
a syntax error. If this

Submission from: (NULL) (203.252.165.51)
Dear the manager;
Recently, I found a small but big new bug in R 2.0.1.

R 1.9.1 had not the problem, but R 2.0.1 makes the
problem. Korean is one of 2-byte character system,
and is supported in Unicode (of 3 byte). I don't know

matrix no longer "is" array in 2.0.1?
I have an S4 class which extends array and has other slots, and in upgrading
to 2.0.1 (from 1.9.1) I have encountered a change in behaviour. This causes
me some difficulties if I want to allow 2-dimensional arrays in the slot
(which I do).
The following (in 2.0.1) illustrates the point:
> setClass("foo",representation("array"))
[1] "foo"
> a <-

VMware Server 2.0.1 On CentOS 5
It's my understanding that CentOS is a carbon copy of Red Hat - with the
exception of the art work. Assuming that this is true, the support matrix
for VMware Server 2.0.1 states Red Hat 5.1. I cannot seem to locate a
CentOS 5.1 x86-64 copy. I can get a copy of 5.3 and 5.4. If I take this
route, what should I expect running VMware 2.0.1?
Thanks,
Gene Poole

Trouble with expression() in R-win 2.0.1
Hi.
The following statement works fine in R-win 1.8.0, but yields a syntax
error in R-win 2.0.1 (and possibly in other versions after 1.8.0):
plot(c(1,2),main=expression(a==b==c))
I note that the following workaround executes successfully in both
versions of R...
plot(c(1,2),main=expression(a*"="*b*"="*c))
...but I don't really understand
