problems accessing unused physical hard drives from Dom0
Hi,
I run an Ubuntu Breezy Dom0 under Xen 3.0.1 (official Xen 2.6.12.6
kernels from xen-3.0.1-install.tgz). In the machine i''ve got 2 IDE ATA
discs, hda and hdc. The Dom0 runs on hda1 (a big / partition), hda2 is
swap. hdc is totally unused (an empty disc, exactly the same model that
hda).
8 to 10 domU run from .img files located in /vserver without problems

WinXp physical to virtual problem: stuck at "Booting from hard disk"
Dear xen users,
I''m trying to convert a physical WindowsXp pro machine into a Xen HVM domU.
I used VMWare standalone converter 4 to create a vmdk disk and qemu to
convert such disk to a raw file disk.
Unfotunately I''m still unable to run my converted domU:
when i start the VM the virtual disk is correctly detected (also the
dimension is detected),
but the VM freeze on the

Hi.
I have a problem when defining a VM under XCP and use templates:
all VM get a same disk size when I define it. How can I define a VM disk

Thanks very much.

Hi there guys,
i''m having a problem with XCP installed on an server.
At first I was trying a net-install with CentOS, while this was installing I
went to lunch.
When I got back, the console (I access the XCP server with the opensource
program OpenXenManager) didn''t responded to anything.
So after a while of trying to get it to respond to me, I rebooted the VM.
The VM

Dom0 log and disk space management
We''re running a handful of XCP 1.1 pools and have run in to situations wherein the local filesystem on the Dom0 control domain hits 100% capacity due to error logging in /var/log (daemon.log, messages, xensource.log, etc) thereby taking that host offline. Twice recently we''ve run in to this, on two different pools, first due to the primary SR hitting capacity and secondly when

Max hard disks supported by XCP 1.6
Hello,
I would like to use nas4free under xcp 1.6.
I install it under full HVM using "other install media".
Now I am attaching 4 hdds as external disks.
The vm sees at most two hdds, I suppose because of bios
support (1 boot + 1 cdrom + 2 hdds= 4 hdds).
I need to use more disks, is it possible?
If not, it seems to me a serious limit.

XCP vs Xen on CentOS and Dell OpenManage
Hello,
I just tried out XCP and I was surprised to see it looks pretty much
like Xen from Citrix. Based on the RPM packages installed, I assume
XCP is based on RHEL5.
With that in mind, I have a few questions that I did not find an
answer on the web... Perhaps I didn''t look in the right places, so if
you know about any good documentations that I should read please share
it :)

XCP pool upgrade
Hi all!
I am using XCP pool with 5 members. XCp version is 1.0.0
I want to upgrade my XCP to version XCp 1.1.
I read that upgrading from 0.0.1 to 0.5 had some troubles including
conflicts between different version of XCP (XCP 0.0.1 and XCP 0.5
conlicted each other in one pool).
Does anybody did such upgrade? What troubles can I meet? :)

Bug#663473: xen-api: General update after the debconf review process
Dear Debian maintainer,
On Thursday, March 15, 2012, I sent you a notification about the beginning of a review
action on debconf templates for xen-api.
Then, I sent you a bug report with rewritten templates and announcing
the beginning of the second phase of this action: call for translation
updates.
Translators have been working hard and here is now the result of their efforts.

[XCP] - XCP -> HCL
I''m needing to put a network card on a test server XCP 1.0.
I''m seeing the citrix hcl (http://hcl.xensource.com) and I''m a doubt. I base
that on which version to look for a compatible card?
If the kernel is the same as in 5.6.0 FP1, but if the version of XCP uses
the hypervisor 3.4.2 neither appears on the list.
ps: I had a RTL-8169 but stopped working with update 0.5
