GPLPV xennet bsod when vcpu>15
Hello, I installed the signed drivers from http://wiki.univention.de/index.php?title=Installing-signed-GPLPV-drivers and I ran into a BSOD on a Windows 2008 Server R2 Enterprise domU with a large number of vcpu''s. The BSOD is related to xennet.sys. After some trials I found that it runs fine up to 15 cores. From 16 or more, the BSOD kicks in when booting the domU. The hardware (4 times

Windows GPLPV xenvbd.sys BSOD
Hi, During the install of the univention.de-signed GPLPV drivers (gplpv_Vista2008x64_signed_0.11.0.308.msi) on my Windows 7 guest, I get a BSOD "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" in xenvbd.sys. Afterwards, Windows won''t start. I''m now trying to do a System Restore. I will try not installing the VBD driver afterwards and see if the others do work. Full BSOD:

BSOD w/ gplpv drivers and Windows 2008 R2 64-bit
Hey, I''ve been trying to get the gplpv drivers working with Windows 2008 R2 64-bit on both a stock CentOS 5.8 install and CentOS 5.8 w/ Xen 4.1.2 from the gitco repos. I''m getting a BSOD shortly after boot up and it can be seen at http://techmonkeys.org/xen/ -- along with the qemu log. Has anyone had success with these drivers and Windows 2008 R2 64-bit? If so, what am I

unistalling gplpv from win7x64 gives BSOD
I have installed the 210 gplpv (debug), when I try to update them with current gplpv I get a BSOD even so when I try to uninstall them. Now I have made a bootentry that specifies NOGPLPV, what gives me a bootable system after such a crash, I found (uninstalling the leftover driver packages after getting bsod during uninstall of the main package) that uninstalling the net driver leads to bsod. Now

Windows 2008 R2 64 bit BSoD
Hello. I''m trying to get the lastest GPLPV binary (rev 238) working on an Ubuntu Server host with Xen 4, but I''ve got some problems. The guest is a 64 bit Windows 2008 R2. After enabling test mode and rebooting, installing and rebooting again (with /NOGPLPV) I can see all the Xen devices, but two (out of three) Xen Block Device Driver have an exclamation mark; I don''t

Strange Problem with Windows GPLPV Drivers
I have a strange problem with these drivers. I have a host that has 31 VM''s running on it, all windows. They are running the same template, which has the latest GPLPV drivers installed. The problem occurred today when I went to add the 32nd VM, again from the same template. Now when the VM boots up I get a BSOD. I tried a different template to confirm that it was not template

Windows 2008 Server, GPLPV drivers, Qemu upstream and BSoD
Hi, I just tested booting Windows 2008 server 64 bit using GPLPV drivers. It seems to work with qemu traditional, but with Qemu upstream (1.1-stable) there is a BSOD when using the most recent signed GPLPV drivers (paging fault in non-paged area). -- Stay in touch, Mark van Dijk. ,--------------------------------- -----------------------------'' Sat Sep 08 08:14

BSOD with GPLPV windows drivers
Hello. I have encountered a problem with GPLPV drivers for windows. It is similar (if not the same) as http://old-list-archives.xen.org/archives/html/xen-users/2011-02/msg00709.html Host is running 14 virtual machines with Windows XP. When I''m trying to start 15-th windows VM it crashes with code 0x0000007b. Booting to safe mode or with /nogplpv works ok. 15-th VM works fine if

Dom0 freeze on HVM DomU Windows reboot with VGA passthrough
Hi, I''m doing VGA passthrough for an ATI (HD 6770) graphics card to a DomU Windows. The passthrough itself is working. However, everytime when I reboot the DomU Windows, the whole machine freezes. I see no error messages from Dom0 kernel or the xen qemu log (or perhaps I haven''t got the most verbose debugging turned on?). Though from what I can tell, the the freeze happens

Windows 2003 BSOD, 0X0000007B bug
Hello, In last November, Richard helped me and succeed in P2V-converting a windows 2003 server towards an oVirt/RHEV image. Recent upgrades solved many ssh issues https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1167774, and conversion seems OK now. The server I converted is now booting and running fine every time. I used the very same procedure on two others 2003 servers (one in x86 and one in

GPLPV 0.10.0.69 Blue Screen 0x0000007B
Trying to install them on Xen 3.4.0, Intel E5345 Processors, Server 2008 64bit. I get the BSoD on boot with the 0x0000007B stop message. I''ve got a bunch of 2003 32bits running on the same host with the 0.10.0.69 drivers and those are totally happy. I tried the boot once with NOGPLPV idea mentioned in another thread, that didn''t do the trick. Ideas anyone? pace

Windows 7 x64 + GPLPV: STOP 0x00000101
When trying to use the GPL PV drivers with Windows 7 x64 (and testsigning turned on), I get a BSOD with a STOP 0x00000101 error. There''s also an error at the top that says "A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval." Is this STOP error related to the HPET or other timing adjustments for Xen? Any advice on things I should

F14->F16 Upgrade Results in Win2003 Server Client BSOD 0x7f
Hello, I upgraded my kvm server from Fedora 14 to Fedora 16 and the only casualty was a Windows 2003 Server client that will no longer boot with and produces a BSOD. I admittedly know very little about Windows and this VM has been around - real hardware -> Parallels on a Mac -> linux kvm but it was working fine under Fedora 14. The client does boot fine under safe mode but anything higher

W2K BSOD: Memory errors
Hi everyone! This is my first post to the list. Be gentle ;) I run Windows 2000 Pro SP4 EN, on a 1400 MHz AMD Athlon Thunderbird. 512 MB RAM, not sure what speed though. For a few months now I've been getting errors while encoding with flac. I use foobar2000 for encoding from WAVE to FLAC, with the help of CUE sheets. I can confirm it's not foobar itself that's giving the errors,

GPLPV drivers suspected to hinder live migration to different CPU type
Hi, I''ve noticed that on a Xen cluster with three nodes (two E5620 CPUs and one E5140 CPU) live migration works perfectly in between to two E5620 nodes, but fails to and from the E5140. The error message is about a HVM context not being able to be set. I strongly suspect the use 238 GPPVL drivers, but I cannot uninstall them at this point because someone else needs the server. Could

ATI/AMDs atikmpag.sys BSOD while vga passthrough
Hi everyone since I''m currently migrating from xm to xl and now are also a victim of the said error, I started researching on it and found that many people had the issue but not many found solution and behind this BSOD (=Bluescreen of Death), there are actually multiple errors in hiding. BSOD with ESS under win2000
I have had a visit from our windows buddy the BSOD twice in one day when running R1.6.2 under ESS5.1.24 on a win2000 platform. I wasn't doing anything special, just moving or resizing the emacs window, although I did have 4 or 5 emacs windows open at the time. Has anyone else observed this problem? Thanks, Darryl.

HVM bsod CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT on i7-3930K
Hello, BSOD 0x00000101 CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT randomly appears on all HVM Windows 2008R2 (with signed GPLPV drivers) with vcpu''s>=2 after upgrading CPU to hexacore i7-3930K. xen and qemu-dm logs have no suspicious entries after bsod. Before upgrade CPU was i7-2600 and all HVM''s works fine. Such problem persist on all motherboards with i7-3930K,and disappear after moving Dom0
