Move Windows within an LV to another pv safely

I read your version of the procedure and it looks like you want to skip the pvmove. That's fine, but it means more downtime (an unreliable estimate is one minuted per GB). In that case, you don't even need the snapshot. You won't need a point in time

Strange TCP-Problem with GPL PV 0.8.8
Hi all,
I have a strange problem with GPL PV 0.8.8 (0.6.4 did work).
On my 2nd vif I cannot establish TCP connections. The 3rd IP packet (ACK
from XEN-Image) is not forwarded by XEN/DOM0-Bridge.
If I boot Windows without /GPLPV option, everything works fine.
I did some investigation and found out that the packages arrive
differently if GPLPV is enabled.
"br_inet" is a bridge

GPL PV Drivers for Windows: install.bat problem
Hi,
I just played with the new GPL PV driver release a bit, and there''s a
problem when running the included install.bat from a read-only device
(pvdriver.zip was extracted, and "burned" to virtual CD)
Cause of this problem:
During installation dpinst.exe is copied to the matching driver directory
(located on the install media) and executed there. Unfortunately this
fails

PV Drivers: XenSource ones VS GPL''ed
Hi all,
I''m testing a windows 2003r2 installation on Centos 5 so i''im wondering about
the reliability of Windows PV drivers on a domU running on the GPL "flavor"
of XEN.
- which are the most stable PV drivers GPL''ed ones or XenSource ones?
- is safe running the XenSource ones on a GPL XEN machine or vice-versa?
thanks,

RE: Xen GPL PV and undesirable requirement for APIC (irq >15)
I certainly saw the issue with the non-APIC HAL, but I don''t see any
performance or CPU issues with the APIC MP HAL.

Again: Release 0.8.4 GPL PV-Drivers for Windows
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hello James,
have you ever tested the pv-drivers on W2k SP4? ;-)
At first there is a little failure in install.bat. The version-number of
w2k starts with "5.00" instead of "5.0.". So your script couldn''t
recognize w2k.
The rest of the installation looks ok, but after rebooting the vm
nothing happens. Theres still the

GPL PV drivers for Windows 0.10.0.50
I''ve just uploaded 0.10.0.50 which fixes a few bugs related to high
network load (BSoD''s & packet corruption). It should upgrade any
previous 0.10.x.x.
Additionally, I''ve also uploaded uninstall_0.9.x.txt (rename it to .bat)
which will uninstall 0.9.x drivers. After running that, reboot and they
should be gone. Please do a backup first though as I have only tested

Release 0.8.8 of GPL PV drivers for Windows
In the spirit of ''release early, release often'', here''s another binary
release...
http://www.meadowcourt.org/WindowsXenPV-0.8.8.zip
The only thing that''s changed since 0.8.7 is that xennet should work
under amd64 again.

Re: Benchmarking GPL PV Drivers for Windows between0.9.11-pre13 and 0.10.0.69
Pasi,
Thanks for putting that wiki page together for the dom0 kernels - it's
something that has long been needed for pulling together information on
those kernels. I know it's always a chore for me to find info on how to
get/build a dom0 kernel if I don't like the one that's included with a
distribution.
Thanks!

Xen GPL PV Drivers, Windows 2003 unplanned shutdown
Hi,
I''ve recently started using the GPL PV Drivers (0.9.10) for a pair of
test machines, one XP and one 2003. XP works beautifully: Thank you for
the development efforts. 2003 works almost as well, with one exception.
When I either xm reboot or xm shutdown and subsequently restart the
virtual machine, at first login I get this dialogue:
The system has restarted after an unplanned

GPL PV drivers for Windows - WDM version
I''m been busily converting the xenpci and xenvbd drivers from WDF to WDM
to resolve a few issues including potential licensing problems with the
Microsoft WDF and to (hopefully) allow them to function as boot drivers
when doing install and system recovery.
It was a fairly major rewrite of xenpci, and xenvbd, which are now
working (booting and running without crashes so far). I
