Debian Repository
Hi,
Im trying to install Netware and Windows 2008 server but im having
problems with it reading the ISO. Im guessing this is because im
running version 3.2.1 debian packages so i want to upgrade to unstable
and use the 3.4 deb packages.
My problem is that there isn''t a kernel package so when booting you cant
boot into xenified kernel mode. If i try and use a kernel from the

I have running xen over a debian server (debian sarge). Now I would
like to configure a domU with redhat (AS 4), do you now any way to
install it?

Fedora, SuSE, Gentoo, Slackware as domU
Hi.
I need to use some other distributions other than Debian as a Xen domU.
These distributions are:
- Fedora Core 7
- Opensuse 10.2
- Gentoo 2007.0
- Slackware 11.0
- Ubuntu 6.06.1 Server
- Ubuntu 7.04 Server
- Centos 5.0
- Mandriva 2007
Could you tell me a way to install it as domU, please?
I searched for rpmstrap, but it supports only Fedora Core 4 and Centos 4...
Could you help me, please?

State of Xen in upstream Linux
Well, the mainline kernel just hit 2.6.27-rc1, so it's time for an
update about what's new with Xen. I'm trying to aim this at both the
user and developer audiences, so bear with me if I seem to be waffling
about something irrelevant.
2.6.26 was mostly a bugfix update compared with 2.6.25, with a few small
issues fixed up. Feature-wise, it supports 32-bit domU with the core
devices

"XENBUS: Device with no driver" errors on Debian
I am running debian lenny, with the standard Xen 3.2 packages, with
the 2.6.18-6-xen-686 kernel as dom0, and 2.6.24-1-xen-686 as domU.
Everything is working fine apart from the console and the PCI
passthrough. I am getting these errors in the domU on startup:
XENBUS: Device with no driver: device/pci/0
XENBUS: Device with no driver: device/console/0
Does this mean the modules are missing?

Fw: Re: What packages ubuntu-xen-server & ubuntu-xen-desktop are up to on intrepid
I have installed Ubuntu Intrepid Server on bare metal and successfully ran:-
# apt-get install ubuntu-xen-server.
It installed several packages on system . Now i can see files
/boot/xen-3.3.gz, /etc/init.d/xend, /etc/init.d/xendomains, but no
xenified kernel gets in. Attempt to use vmlinuz-2.6.27-7-server, obviously , fails with system panic.
I do remember recompiling procedure for Xen

VNC access console of paravirtualised DomU
Hi,
I''ve seen this asked a few times, but I just can''t work out whether I am misinterpreting how this is supposed to work, or if it is just broken in my setup.
What I want is to be able to see the character cell console of DomU''s via VNC. As far as I understand, when I create/startup the DomU, then a vnc server should start listening on my Dom0. I have tried every

OLS BoF? Mainline Virtualization API status?
Folks,
OLS is fast approaching. There is a session on virtualization
at the Kernel Summit, with Keir and Zach invited, which will
probably last an hour(?). There is also a Xen BoF currently
scheduled (Thursday, 7/20, 7:00PM) which will cover Xen specific
issues. And there are approximately 3 or 4 paper presentations
on related subjects. None of the above are going to allow for
adequate time to

Xen and Kernel 2.6.25
Some question.
Can I install Xen-3.2.1 with 2.6.18-xen kernel... to my Dom0
and without HVM, starting a debian(DomU) with kernel 2.6.25 from kernel src
and compiled with all XEN port / features ?
or i need to use the vmlinuz-2.6.18-xen to all my DomU ??
Thanks

Xen paravirt frontend block hang
Sorry for the noise if this isn't the appropriate venue for this. I
posted this last month to xen-devel:
http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2007-11/msg00777.html
I can reliably cause a paravirt_ops Xen guest to hang during intensive
IO. My current recipe is an untar/tar loop, without compression, of a
kernel tree. For example:

network-multinet usage?
Still trying to make my VMs appear on a subnet of their very
own and route traffic to/from them from the Dom0.
This network-multinet script sounds ideal for what I want:

However, the description of building a routed network says
I need to call the script and give it the "virtual ethernet
device (vethX)" that lives in
