Introduce the basic VMI sub-arch configuration dependencies. VMI kernels only are designed to run on modern hardware platforms. As such, they require a working APIC, and do not support some legacy functionality, including APM BIOS, ISA and MCA bus systems, PCI BIOS interfaces, or PnP BIOS (by implication of dropping ISA support). Failure of gvinum after panic

Running CentOS on very old hardware
A friend has an old Pentium-133 laptop with 32MB of memory and a 1.3 GB hard disk that he wants to use as a web server for a very small community. Hardware advice please?
I am quite new to Linux and have moved (almost) from a windoze NT4 environment. My present configuration is running SuSE V 8.0 with KDE3.0.5 desktop on two machines, connecting with Samba to an NT4 PC, and an occasional laptop or other PC that connects locally to the network. Try using x86 mode rather than Intel64 mode. I have definitely gotten it to use both ah and al in 32 bit x86 code generation. In particular, I have seen that in loops for both the spec2000 and spec2006 versions of bzip. It can happen, but it does only rarely. Current hardware requirements for decoding? (skipping problem)
The vorbis FAQ mentions that decoding vorbis should use roughly the same resources as decoding MP3's, but that the current source is not optimized. So what is the current requirement?
