RE: Installing Redhat 7,3 with hvm
Not yet, but I don''t see any reason for it to work any differently. I
simply used vmware because it was convenient.

RE: Installing Redhat 7,3 with hvm
If anyone is still interested in this old thread, I have a rh7.3 image
running under hvm.
It''s a hack, but here''s what I did:
Install rh7.3 in a vmware machine with vmware server.
Booted off a live cd, ( I used a gentoo installer CD, but any live cd
should work)
Created a lvm volume on my Xen dom0

Install win2003 on xen
I am trying to install Windows 2003 Server as a xen guest and I am
having a problem. After the guest is booted from CD-ROM i partition disk
OK, and while system is trying to copy files needed for the
installation, it cannot read some files from CD-ROM (starting with
wow32.dll etc.). I have tried also to copy installation disk onto local
disk and load it from .iso file, but the same problem

hvm networking with vif-route
Greetings xen gurus...
I''m working with xen-3.0-testing downloaded on July 3, 2006. I have
configured an hvm domain and want to use vif-route and network-route to
configure the communication.
The domU starts up fine. I was able to complete the installation of the OS
(RHES3) and can restart the domain repeatedly. However, I cannot ping the
network interface from dom0 using the

Problem bringing up 32-bit Sles 9 on a Dom-VT
All,
We are facing some issues bringing up a DomVT on Xen x86_64(changeset
9267).
We created a disk image with dd 8 G in size.
We then booted an associated Dom-VT with a CD-ROM and did net-install of
the sles-9 OS.
This completes successfully.
Then, when the system is brought around for a reboot (having changed the
boot option from cdrom to disk), the system hangs after the line

Problems with HVM S3
Hello,
I am currently trying to suspend a HVM domU via ACPI. However, after "xl

[RFC] New shadow paging code
We (Michael Fetterman, George Dunlap and I) have been working over the
last while on a full replacement for Xen''s shadow pagetable support.
This mail contains some design notes, below; a patch against
xen-unstable, giving a snapshot of the current state of the new shadow
code, is at http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~tjd21/shadow2.patch
Comments on both are welcome, although the code is not

[PATCH] qemu-stubdom: prevent useless medium change
qemu-stubdom was stripping the prefix from the "params" xenstore
key in xenstore_parse_domain_config, which was then saved stripped in
a variable. In xenstore_process_event we compare the "param" from
xenstore (not stripped) with the stripped "param" saved in the
variable, which leads to a medium change (even if there isn't any),
since we are comparing something

Improving xen-qemu-dm-4.0 dependencies
Hi,
When I first built my Debian package, I needed to depend on qemu-system
| qemu, since there was no other ways to pull needed BIOS files.
It seems the situation changed, and that I could depend on less stuff
from the qemu package. Maybe only the package named "etherboot" and
"vgabios". To do that, my plan is to simply package a folder named:
/usr/share/xen/qemu

Xen and QNX
I am trying to get QNX working with Xen. I''ve going about it in a
similar way as installing windows with Xen, but when I start the guest
up to install the OS it hangs on the line:
''Hit Esc for .altboot.......''
If anyone has managed to get this working, or has any ideas/advice for
me here it would be greatly appreciated!
