No Full Virtualisation with Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 Mobile CPU?
Hello,
I have some interesting issue with Intel VT CPU and XEN 3.0.2:
I''m running XEN 3.0.2 on a MSI Fuzzy 945GM2 Mainboard
(http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/ic/ic_detail.php?prod_no=4) with
a Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile CPU (T5500).
When booting the mainboard BIOS says it found a EM64T CPU, which is

BackupPC newbie: a couple more questions
1. I'm running - or trying to run - BackupPC under Centos-5.2,
and have been looking at various BackupPC HOWTOs and tutorials.
I see that the "Falko" tutorial at <http://www.howtoforge.com/linux_backuppc>
recommends (on page 3) that one should enter one's username,
"falko" in this case, as the user in /etc/BackupPC/hosts .
Other tutorials suggest one should use

Here is the story. We are running Redhat Enterprise Linux 4, and were
using Dovecot .99.x . At

Dovecot). After the switchover
our users reported a bug when using Thunderbird:
"A new behavior that I have observed a couple of times is that the new IMAP
server confuses email headers with content. E.g., I have an

Is there a way for setting up dovecot in such a way that a user can
"jump back in time" to an old mailbox "state" in order to retrieve his
accidentially deleted mail?

How to Restore emails
I have a user who accidentially deleted a large number of emails prior to a certain date. He
wants them back. I do have a tarfile backup of these messages. Is there a good way to restore
them? Can I simply restore them to the appropriate Maildir directory and dovecot will just

Thanks, --Mark

Ruby Cookbook is out. I browsed the book today at the bookstore. It looks very good with a section
on Rails. There is no review on Amazon yet. Did anyone get a chance to review this book?

Puppet Cookbook
Hi all,
I haven''t done much with it so far, but I now have an instance of
MoinMoin up as a cookbook:
https://reductivelabs.com/cookbook/
It''s available over http or https, whichever you prefer.
I''m going to do what I can to start adding cookbook recipes and I''d
appreciate it if others would do the same. I also could help keeping
the cookbook running well --

help create asterisk cookbook
I have not yet seen this article posted to this list, so I thought many of
us would be interested in having a look at this project sponsored by
O'Reilly:
http://www.oreillynet.com/etel/blog/2007/01/help_create_the_asterisk_cookb.html
It seems they are looking for both problems and solutions, and I'm sure
we'll have plenty :)

HA Storage Cookbook?
Hello List,
Can anyone recommend some sites regarding building high-availability
storage networks using centos (or the upstream providers brand name)?
I need to have approx 2-3 tb of storage available via iscsi and smb,
but worry about having it all on a single server. Most of the HA
articles I'm reading deal with application high availability, but not
storage.
Right now I have a centos 4.6
