ISDN, AVM C4, HFC-cards and echo
Hello, I've been using * for quite a while using AVM C4 card and a few Grandstream Budgetone 102 hard phones plus couple of HandyTone 286. Echo is a big problem. I am getting used to it, but some users complain. Anyone has experience w/ regards to echo comparing the AVM C4 with two HFC-cards? Before shelling out time and money, maybe someone else already has done so, and could tell me if

Anyone using National ISDN (NI-1) BRI under Linux?
I have a North American BRI configured as National ISDN (NI-1) on an SBC (Nortel?) switch. SBC calls this "FastTrak ISDN", and it's surprisingly inexpensive -- less than two POTS lines. I've been trying to find an inexpensive PCI interface solution to connect this to Asterisk as voice lines. I prefer ISDN BRI over POTS lines because of the improved signalling, fast dialing,

ISDN Dialout
Hi, I am having some trouble with ISDN Dialout. Using a Netjet-s PCI Card. When in Minicom, the only way I can dialout is if i issue ATS18=1 First. Otherwise I get a BUSY message. So thats fine. But when I dialout from asterisk, I get an immediate hangup, so my guess is that asterisk is not issuing ATS18=1 to the ttyI device. Here are my configs, any input would be greatly appriciated.

HFC ISDN card with bristuff from jung hanns.n et?
Hi Alessio Yes, the problems you report do seem similar to the issues I had. I found on the Dells that the audio prompts were very choppy and played slower than normal. Occasionally there would be 'bursts' oav a second or so of 'good' audio. I also suspected IRQ issues but the Dell Mobos had no way of adjusting them. Best thing is to try and get the card on its own unshared

cheap HFC card on Bristuff vs cheap HFC card on i4l vs Fritz ISDN BRI card on CAPI
Hello I have asterisk running in Red Hat 9 with a cheap HFC card on i4l. I have choppy sound problems sometimes, and echo problems often. I am using a 2 port Grandstream ATA, Grandstream BT and a Grandstream GPX-2000 I read that changing to BriStuff will fix the echo problems, but have also read other users say that the only way they solved the echo/choppy sound problems was using a Fritz ISDN

1 ISDN BRI to IAX2/SIP... (*) best tool or?...
I have a question, I have to provide a solution for an office that will be almost abandoned, and there will be one or sometimes two persons 2 days a week. The main number however should be preserved. They have several ISDN BRI connections, most of which will be dropped. Only one will be retained, for 2 reasons: 1) It has the ADSL link 2) The number has been the main contact number for over 20

Where to purchase ISDN (BRI) cards in Australia (preferably)
Hello all, I was wondering if anybody knows where one might obtain a PCI ISDN card supporting a single BRI for use with Asterisk in Australia (and using something like chan_capi). Because of the Isdn4Linux DTMF issue, I don't want one of those cards. I've already spent too much time messing about with my current card. I'm after something like the AVM Fritz! cards. I found one place

ISDN FXS for home use
Hi, I'm looking for an ISDN FXS for home use (so the solution has to be affordable :) Let me tell you exactly what I want to do first. I want to connect a regular home ISDN phonesystem (does not exist yet so I'm flexible with that, too) to the ISDN-PSTN and Asterisk at the same time. I want to be able to place calls through the ISDN-PSTN as well as through asterisk eg by dialing 0XXXXXX
