[PATCH] hdt & gcc -Werror
From: Gene Cumm <gene.cumm at gmail.com> Fix several calls to more_printf() as eventually printf() is called without a literal string which generate warnings with gcc and lead to errors when -Werror is active. Signed-off-by: Gene Cumm <gene.cumm at gmail.com> The message "format not a string literal and no format arguments" at first seems strange but by doing this change

[PATCH 2/2] Add VMDq support to ixgbe
This patch adds experimental VMDq support (AKA Netchannel2 vmq) to the ixgbe driver. This applies to the Netchannel2 tree, and should NOT be applied to the "normal" development tree. To enable VMDq functionality, load the driver with the command-line parameter VMDQ=<num queues>, as in: $ modprobe ixgbe VMDQ=8 You can then set up PV domains to use the device by modifying your VM

[PATCH 4/6] hdt: fix sizeof(char *) misuse
The code was passing sizeof(char *) - not the length of the buffer - to memset. Change the function to take the length of the buffer as a parameter. Fixes the warning: argument to 'sizeof' in 'memset' call is the same expression as the destination; did you mean to provide an explicit length? [Bridge] [PATCH net-next v2 2/3] bridge: Add a limit on learned FDB entries
A malicious actor behind one bridge port may spam the kernel with packets with a random source MAC address, each of which will create an FDB entry, each of which is a dynamic allocation in the kernel. There are roughly 2^48 different MAC addresses, further limited by the rhashtable they are stored in to 2^31. Each entry is of the type struct net_bridge_fdb_entry, which is currently 128 bytes big.

setting up 7940
I'm starting out w/ a Cisco 7940, running the Sip image version 6.3. I've downloaded/installed asterisk via cvs. I've set the phone up to get its info via dhcp - the dhcp, tftp, astericks box & phone are on the same network. I've gone through and setup a test account per the instructions @ http://voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+phone+cisco+79xx but time I do a sip show

[Bridge] [BRIDGE] Unaligned access on IA64 when comparing ethernet addresses
From: Evgeny Kravtsunov <emkravts@openvz.org> compare_ether_addr() implicitly requires that the addresses passed are 2-bytes aligned in memory. This is not true for br_stp_change_bridge_id() and br_stp_recalculate_bridge_id() in which one of the addresses is unsigned char *, and thus may not be 2-bytes aligned. Cisco 7940 Configuration
Hello all, I recently purchased a Cisco 7940 IP phone to do some testing with (to validate a migration to asterisk for our internal PBX needs). I understand that I need to update the phone for it to support SIP, so I configured the phone with an IP address and pointed it at my tftp server. When I reboot the phone I am currently getting "TFTP File Not Found SEPDefault.cnf" in the

[Bridge] RFC: [PATCH] bridge vlan integration
Hi, The attached patches enables the bridge to filter and forward packets according to their IEEE 802.1q headers. The goals behind this change include : - Enable running STP on 802.1q tagged networks. STP packets must be untagged. It isn't obvious how else to enable STP with the current bridge and vlan code. - Add native support for an untagged vlan. Currently an untagged vlan can
