Release Note translation for CentOS 5.3
Hi guys,
are you all still with us on CentOS? Good ...
As you may already have seen Red Hat has released version 5.3 - and
we're busy rebuilding it.
As always we would like to have the Release Notes translated to as many
languages as possible. So if you do not see your language on

we do not have translations for at the moment, including russian,
gujrati, greek and turkish.
Is there a page on the wiki that we could point these people at ? maybe

Chroot_Vsftpd_with_non-system_users (Update)
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi,
I've been working in the bash scripts used in the page
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Chroot_Vsftpd_with_non-system_users
Some of the changes are:
- - Add vsftpd TLS support in the configuration. So USER and PASS don't be
clearly readable.
- - If SELinux is available, set the boolean allow_ftpd_anon_write to on
in the configuration

Hi Guys,
To organize ideas about the unification of CentOS authentication I
propose you to use the following wiki page:
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/UnifyAuthentication
I've already started it with some headers. You are welcome to improve
it. Don't know if it is in the correct place and if the headers are
appropriated. I've put there

Hi,
Well, it seems like my gnome terminal can't interpret Korean
translations very well. Or maybe it can and I don't know how to confirm
it ? I tried the following encoding characters in the gnome terminal:
Current Local (UTF-8)
Korean (EUC-KR)
Korean (UHC)
Korean (JOHAB)
and all I can see are question marks inside black rhombus. That

Hello,
I've published a Ruby gem that lets you create slide shows and
author slides in plain text using a wiki-style markup language that's
easy-to-write and easy-to-read. Yes, that's Markdown. (Textile is
supported too ;-)
You can find two samples online in Markdown:

What elements can be used with Effect.Slide{Up, Down}() ?
Hi,
it looks like there are some requirements for elements to be used
with Effect.Slide{Up,Down}().
A simple
<div id="name">
....
</div>
does not slide down with Effect.SlideDown(''name''). However, adding
something like <p></p> does the trick
<div id="name">
<p>....</p>

script.aculo.us Slide in from right
Hi all,
I''ve found this page:
http://wiki.script.aculo.us/scriptaculous/show/EffectsTreasureChest
And I''ve included the exact source-code into a new javascript (.js)
file and including the link in the HTML page I''m working with.

Slide Show (S9) Gem V0.7 - Better Support for More Markdown (Ruby) Libs and More
Hello,
== What's new in 0.7?
I removed the dependency on Maruku (and Oniguruma) and now allow and
check for optional installed Markdown libraries/gems. For now the
search order for markdown libraries is first come, first serve, that
is:
rdiscount > rpeg-markdown > maruku > bluecloth (fallback, always
present because it's required in gem spec).

Effect.Slide(Down|Up) with iframe display error in Firefox
See http://208.78.99.133/slide-firefox-bug.html
In summary, when attempting to use Slide(Down|Up) with an iframe,
Firefox displays the animation incorrectly by showing the part of the
iframe that should hidden when the animation is going. This works
fine in IE and Opera.
Suggestions?
