similar to: traktor 3.4 not seeing external midi hardware

Hey guys. I want to run, on my Ubuntu 10.04, Traktor. I just download the Traktor and right click, Open with WINE... Instaling process goes fine, i copy the dll files in System32, but I cant open the Traktor It says : http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/217/screenshotcy.png Pls Help :)

i am using traktor final scratch dj studio 2.6. i set up ice cast for the first time yesterday. I downloaded win amp to listen and check everythin wass workin. When i follow the listener url everything conects ok i can read the track names and they change as i change them. Hi, Using timidity, I've been able to listen to MIDI files with Linux on a machine with an Intel 801/AC'97 chip. However, with Wine, I've had trouble. Log messages show that the first MIDI output port is used. This happens to be 'MIDI Through' 62:0, not Timidity on port 128:0. $ aconnect -ol shows the list of output ports. Try opening the sound tab in winecfg. It'll create a ALSA-based default configuration for you, which might automatically find the right MIDI channels. If it doesn't, try using a soft synth solution like timidity or qsynth. I think these automatically pick up on MIDI-supporting sound cards, too, plus extra MIDI channels that will definitely be detected by Wine will be exposed.

Hi, I have recently started using WINE with the wineasio driver to run my Windows audio apps. In Windows I did a lot of work using MIDI Yoke (a virtual 'MIDI cable' driver). The Linux equivalent is the snd-virmidi ALSA driver. I find, however, that WINE does not send MIDI messages throught the virmidi ports to Linux Apps. Ok guys, I just committed the Ogg MIDI code to ogg-tools/oggmerge. You can now make synced vorbis+midi Oggs, but there is (not yet anyway) a tool to play such files. Have a look at the code, and let me know if you see anything major. Adding new media types for merging should be trivial, and you already have two examples (the vorbis one is VERY simple and the MIDI one is much more complicated)
