Hello, i wanted to install a software that requires the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable environment. The software normally includes this installer, but it didn't work. I tried downloading the Visual C++ directly from microsoft, and install it. The installer started, showed briefly a progress bar, and stopped. When i go to uninstall, Visual C++ appears, but can't be uninstalled.

Hello, I'm trying to debug a wine bug with the java runtime environment. I'm now in the native c++ code and have the problem, that there are no debug symbols available. As the source is available, I had the idea to compile it myself with debug symbols but I have no idea how to start compiling this under linux+wine. I've installed the Windows application Open WorkBench* which is coded in C, C++ and Java.
