Star Wars Battlefront 2: can't type the code in
On trying to install "Star Wars Battlefront 2", the installation arrived at the point where the code has to be typed in. Unlike an other game, the cursor blinks but neither a text appears nor is the code accepted. The problem seems to trivial for me to open a bug. And anyway I opened too many bug entries. :) So I ask here. Has any one experienced a similar problem ? In the

Wine problems
Hello everyone, My name is Jason and I'm new to this mailing list, although I've been using Wine for several months now. I say that loosely, as I really haven't been able to get many applications to run, so I come to all of you now seeking help. One of the biggest reasons I try to use Wine is to play games. I tried Cedega about a month ago, and couldn't get most of my Windows

ShellExecute
When running under Wine, ShellExecute isn't opening .html files that my Windoze app creates. Any thoughts? I know very little about linux or Wine. //fname is unicode CString that has a fully qualified *existing* .html filename HINSTANCE h = ShellExecute(NULL, _T("open"), fname, NULL, NULL, SW_SHOWNORMAL); if ((UINT)h <= 32) { /* yep, it fails to launch */ };

Debug data for Wine, DirectX and games.
Hi there wine list this is not going to be a request for help as much as it's a request for how I can help the wine developers. I've got some time over the next couple of weeks and a stack of applications I want to see if I can get running under wine. I thought if I started testing a whole bunch of things I might be able to gather some useful test data for the wine developers as a way

Emphasis or Italic?
What's the difference between: <em>emphasis</em> and <i>italicized</i> and <strong>strong</strong> and <b>bold</b> It seems to subtle for my browsers. The only "difference" I've been able to find is that according to the O'Reilly book <strong> and <emphasis> are semantic tags, while <b> and <i>

I have tried changing the Library with all of the items there. I have tried adding the .exe to Applications,

I need to encode a WAV to OGG but must resample to 22050 samples per second, but can't do that with oggdropXPd.exe. The application always crashes. What I do is: Start oggdropXPd.exe. Right-click on fish, choosing 'Encoding Options'. Under Advanced Options, I set Re-sample to 22050 samples per second. Click 'Accept'. Drag WAV on fish. In the directory where the WAV originates,
