Hi all, I have deployed my Ruby On Rails application on TextDrive. At first everything seamed to be fine. However, lately, response time of my application is incredible slow. Worse, lately there is also a lot of downtime. I have contacted their support desk, however, they do not respond (at all, or very, very late). Has anyone else these experiences with TextDrive? To much of my dissapointment, the uptime on my TxD account does not improve. What alternatives do we have for hosting Rails projects on shared accounts? I would love to keep lighttpd and the level of control I have on TxD but wouldn''t like to spend much more (I am currently on the 25$/month plan). Hi, I was wander if anyone can tell based on self expirience what would be limitations for rails app regard shared hosting. For example on PHP/MySql db driven app on shared hosting can handle 1000 users a day without problems. I know there are many factors involved but would like to hear your thoughts, when would you upgrade and if you would deploy rails app on shared hosting at all. thanks

I moved a rails application to textdrive using their low-cost shared plan. Once on textdrive my app would display ''proxy errors'' periodically. Hitting reload seemed to be all that was needed to get past the proxy error. After discussions with their support people I decided the proxy errors were being caused by apache server restarts -- because there were many of us sharing one

Hi, I''ve just deployed a basic ecommerce site on textdrive.com. The application has been stress tested on our local development machines and appears to be running fine (no memory leaks).
